•*¨*•.¸¸☆*・゚ aishi's pov
these past few weeks have been relatively normal, for me atleast. as soon as we arrived at our new house (aka the house on top of our second restaurant branch), we are greeted by manager tanaka, a friend of my dad, who is the reason why we moved.
he was getting married and moving to a new country so that's why he's retiring early. my dad decided that instead of hiring a new one, we will manage this one personally, just like what we've done on our miyazaki prefecture branch.
the days that follows is just a mix of putting all of our stuff on the new house, familiarizing with the place, and helping on the restaurant. i have been lucky enough not bump into the characters of this world. haha imagine if i suddenly bump into hikaru kamiki haha
we have been living here for two weeks and my family was already familiar with our customers. despite of my introverted nature, my family never failed to include me when they're socializing with other people.
speaking of socialization, i never did enjoy doing that, even in my past life. i only survive those kind of stuff because i have a lot of extroverted friends who can carry the conversation for me.
ah, another thing, my interview for yoto high school is scheduled today, that's why i'm currently biking towards the direction of the school.
i am pretty nervous coming in here because i know for a damn fact that i will see them here. i know that because all of the incoming first year applicants are called in today for the dreaded interview.
once i reached the gate of the school, i let out an amused "wow" as i saw how pretty the school is. some of the students of yoto high school are here since they still have their classes.
i was wearing a simple button up shirt with brown sweater vest and a ribbon tie in front. i'm also wearing a skirt that reach past my knees with a long sock and generic brown school shoes to match. this was my past uniform after all, i can't just show up in a fancy shmancy outfit because that screams a pretty death flag encounter for me.
i held my folder up to my chest as i gather my courage to walk up the registrar and get my temporary slip to enter the campus. if you're asking, i am currently enrolling in the general education program. i never had the proper talent and confidence to be in the performing arts program so that's an automatic 'x' to me.
as soon as i reached the waiting area for the general education program applicants, i fucking froze when i finally saw him, in his blond glory, aqua hoshino is sitting right next to my assigned seat.
'kill me now...or not, this is a dream come true after all!' i exclaimed in my head while having a calm and gloomy atmosphere around me.
i sat on my assigned seat, trying my best not to fan girl and make a scene right here and there.
while i was focused on calming myself, i didn't notice that i was already getting the attention of a certain someone.

aqua opened his eyes when he felt someone sat next to him. in his peripheral vision, he saw a new girl sitting right next to his seat. she has no noticeable feature as she had her bangs covering half of her face while her hand as holding onto the folder that she brought with her.
with a quick glance, aqua also noticed the black headphones resting on top of her head, almost camouflaging on her long black hair.
as much as he felt the slight interest with the girl, he just minded his own business.
"hoshino-san? you're up next" the administrator called out as soon the previous applicant left the room. aqua stood up, his hand on his pockets, and walked inside, never looking back.
he was greeted by the three interviewers, holding up a paper which he assumes are his credentials.
"good morning, hoshino-kun, was it? please introduce yourself" the kind looking woman started the procedure, smiling at aqua.
"my name is...hoshino aquamarine." aqua replied, avoiding any eye contact because of the embarrassment.
the man with glasses sweat dropped and commented: "your name is really quite something"
the man then looked at his entrance exam and exclaimed.
"a standardized test score of 70?! why are you applying for our school which only requires 40?!" the two interviewers beside the man nodded in agreement.
being a certified medical doctor in his past life, aqua didn't really reacted much at their musing.
"i was attracted by this school's culture and atmosphere" he replied with a serious tone, causing the man to exclaimed even louder
"is our school really that charming?!"
after the man calmed down, the whole interview continued without a hitch and after 15 minutes, aqua was free to go.
"nakahara-san? nakahara-san? you're up next" the administrator called again, causing the girl that was beside him a while ago to stand up in a hurry.
hearing that surname, aqua slowed down, feeling the immense familiarity with that name. as soon as the girl walked passed him, he got a glimpse of her shining brown eyes through her hair before she finally went inside.
aqua pushed that feeling inside of him and decided to continue his way back to his sister.
on the other hand, aishi is currently standing infront of the interviewer with a nervous smile.
"nakahara-chan? please introduce yourself" the other interviewer asked, looking at her credentials.
"y-yes..! uhm, i'm nakahara aishi, ai (愛)as in love and shi (詩) as in poetry, together my name means 'love for poetry'. nice to meet you!" i exclaimed nervously, bowing down to show my respect.
"ha ha, no need to be nervous, nakahara-chan" the female interviewer said, laughing a bit because of my nervous movements.
the man with glasses let out a gasp again after seeing aishi's standardized test score.
"a perfect 80?! what the...is our school really that popular with genius teens?!" he exclaimed, almost having a semi heart attack.
aishi just let out a sheepish smile. being a constant overachiever of the past, having a perfect score like that wasn't a hard task for her.
"my parents chose this school because it's reputation and i like the school's program toward medical and psychology field. i hope that i would learn more from this school" aishi said, smiling and bowing again.
as the female interviewer calmed the man with glasses, the other male interviewer asked aishi other questions.
"so, according to your data sheet, you're not a native in tokyo, right?"
"yes, uhm, i was born and raised in takachiho, miyazaki prefecture. we just moved here last last week because of some family business stuff" aishi replied vaguely, smiling apologetically because she knows that she wasn't that great with talking to other people, let alone a stranger with a high ranking like them.
the interview duration for aishi can be considered a little quick because after 10 minutes, they finally let her leave. however, she didn't leave in peace as the man in glasses pestered her about different clubs in the campus that could enhance her skills even more, as if he was that confident that aishi would pass.
after leaving that room, aishi strolled around the school, familiarizing herself on the other places in the school.
when she was walking on a hallway, she heard the dreaded interaction between the characters.
"aqua? hoshino aqua?!"
