Chapter 19 - An Unblinking Death.

St. Anne's Church.

Kieran is down from the attic because he didn't think that he won't be alive for long, so he thought he could try and pray for a little while but he is having upsetting hallucinations of Bastianna and his dead nephew Sean while Cami is trying to help take care of him, well as much as she can because she knew that sooner or later she will be the only one of her family to be alive and seeing her uncle in this much pain is hurting her so much, she knew that the hallucinations have become stronger to the point that Kieran doesn't know what is real or what is fake, she sees him kneel down at the sacristy for communion where she can tell that he is having another hallucination, Kieran started to pray "This is the body, This is the blood and may they cleanse me of sin and preserve my soul in life everlastin" Kieran felt someone move behind him to sit down on the pew while he was still kneeling, he heard the voice of Bastianna say "I would like to say that it is a little late for that Father because from where I can see, you still have your faith" Kieran was still looking forward but he was instantly terrified and said "You stay away from me, you did this to me" Bastianna smugly said "I may have done but I don't think it could save you, Sean" Kieran knew that this was all in his head but it has become to the point that he doesn't know what to do anymore but knowing that his nephew, who is in this hallucination, appeared behing Kieran while holding a scythe, the same one that he used to kill himself and the other seminary students, to Kieran neck which made Kieran freak out and said "God, no! Stop this, aah" Bastianna holds the communion cup towards him and said "To life everlasting, so why don't you drink for me" Kieran became hysterical and shouted out "No, be gone demon" Kieran still believed that he is seeing Bastianna but in reality it was Cami, who didn't know that he is seeing Bastianna and not her when she said "Come now Uncle, please just one sip, it will make you feel better" Kieran became even more hysterical, Cami was only trying to get him to drink from the cup while Josh held Kieran down but Kieran freaked out more that he slapped the cup out of her hand, Kieran yelled "NO! i know who you are, you hateful bitch" Cami knew that her uncle isn't in his right mind so she didn't feel offended by what he was saying to her but she saw him look at Josh, Kieran believes that he was seeing Sean, his nephew, when he said "Sean, I am so sorry for what happened but I tried to help you, tried to save you but you got to understand that this city... this city is full of monsters" Josh knew that Kieran can't understand his action because he is losing his mind so he remained calm and said "Yeah, I know trust me," Josh looked at Cami and said "Remind me to never ever piss off a witch" Cami was about to say something when Kieran yelled out "Aagh!" he fell to the floor and starts having a seisure which made Cami run to his side while saying to Josh "Help me lay him on his side Josh, he could hit his head" Josh did what he was asked of him and after making sure that Kieran doesn't hurt his head, Kieran calmed down enough to look at his niece and said "Cami" she looked at him with wide eyes in shock and said "Uncle Kieran?" he became confused and agitated again because he thought he was seeing Bastianna again and said "What do you want from me you bitch?" Cami looked at her uncle while he was backing away from her and he went into the corner, Cami and Josh stood up from the ground, walked away slightly to have a conversation without Kieran hearing when Cami, who was lookig at her uncle, said "Josh, you saw that right? Yeah it was only for a moment but, it was him".

The both of them was staring at Kieran, who anxiously grabbed hold of the cross that was round his neck and squeezed it, Josh looked slightly confused because he is still new to all of this and said "I don't know what to say Cami," Josh was still looked at Kieran while Cami turned to look at Josh, who continued what he was saying "I mean obviously I saw that he recognised you but it was only for a second, so yeah maybe he is still in there underneath all the crazy that is inside of his mind but I have to say," Josh looked at Cami and said "the crazy is pretty thick" Cami looked back at her uncle and knew a way to help him and said "I got an idea to fix him but it is crazy but maybe he needs a shock to his system, something to wipe the slate clean" Josh sighed because he had a feeling that he is not going to like her idea.
