We were going in to interrogate Jackson again. The sedative should have worn off by now so he we could safely bet that he was awake and possibly looking for a way out of this situation.

This time I was bringing all the Avengers with me. Maybe the more people were in the room, would make us seem more intimidating to him.

First, I wanted to talk to Thor.

Admittedly the Asgardian did seem to be scared of whatever conversation I wanted to have with him.

"Jackson said that he knows more about you than we do," I said, cutting to the chase. "Care to explain this?"

Thor winced. "There are a surprising amount of things that I do not wish to share."

"Those being?"

"They are very personal matters," he said. I noticed the grimace on his face but decided to question it later. I had a criminal to interrogate.

I lead the way into the interrogation room to find Pietro Maximoff already there. With Jackson sitting on his lap and Maximoff's arms wrapped around him.

For a moment, I just stood there thinking of how unprofessional this was. Then I cleared my throat to get his attention. Maximoff looked up. Surprise crossed his face before it morphed into protectiveness, and he pulled Jackson closer. I started wondering how serious their relationship had been.

I crossed my arms. "Are we interrupting something?"

Jackson's eyes landed on me, and he let out a groan of frustration. "Yes, you very much are. Now, go away, bitch."

I heard some snickers behind me. I assumed that at least two of them was from Stark and Barton who had always loved a laugh at my expense.

I turned to look at the Scarlet Witch. One look and she understood what I wanted her to do.

She walked forward and spoke softly to her brother and then used her magic to bring Jackson back to full awareness. As a result, Jackson began to curse colorfully at her.

Quicksilver reluctantly set Jackson back down on his chair. I could tell that Jackson didn't appreciate it, but I didn't much care what he wanted.

I waited for everyone to settle around me before beginning interrogation.

"Back to where we left off yesterday," I began.

"**** you," said Jackson.

That caused more snickers.

I glared at the man in the cuffs. He seemed irritatingly unfazed.

"What really happened nine years ago?" I asked, trying to sound calm.

"Again, that was nine years ago," said Jackson. "Why the hell does it matter now?"

"Because it is in the best interests of everyone involved if the truth was revealed," I explained.

"Actually it's the other way around," he corrected, leaning forward. "If the truth was revealed, then everyone involved would be in danger." A thought seemed to cross his mind. "Except the kidnapper dude. I don't really care what happens to him and I don't think that it'd really bother him."

"Did that man have any connection to the mythological world?" asked Romanov.

Jackson shrugged.

"Can you please give us a straight answer?" she said, her eyes narrowing.

"Nah, don't feel like it," was Jackson's reply.

More snickers and a full out guffaw from my left.
