"Dammit! F...to hell with you!" You raged as you read the last chapter to the book. "Damn you..." You wailed, as you closed the book.
"Why'd you kill off that person, author?!"
Your eyes sparkled as you sat back up. "Wait. I'll go to Author's house, and force her to write another book!" You mused, "yes, that's a good plan."
While you were shouting, you didn't realize that Yuki appeared in the room, looking up at you. She was sitting on her haunches, merely staring.
"(Y/N)."
"Goddammit, stay away!" You freaked out, when you heard your name. Accidentally blasting the wall, you turned.
"Oh. Natsu. Hello!"
___
"Think it'll cover it?" Natsu came back into the room, holding buckets of paint in his arms.
Yuki had to leave with the Exceeds- to avoid the possibility of her running everywhere and smearing up the paint.
You scrunched up your face as you surveyed the room. "We've gotta move everything." You noted.
"Everything that's on the walls, yes."
You grinned, and took a picture off the walls. "Already a step ahead of you." Natsu scowled. "You started before me!"
At this, you stuck your tongue out at him as you took off another painting on the walls. "Losers are just salty." You sang as you walked into the living room.
"We don't really have anything on the walls, do we?" You laughed. There were pictures in frames standing upright on the tables, but the walls were bare.
"Less work for us, then!" Natsu said, cheerfully as he took out the rollers. "Wait, wait!" You said, as he almost dipped the roller into the cans of paint.
"We need to cover the floor first." You said, exasperatedly as you threw the bundled up newspaper to him. He grinned.
"What would I do without my smart wife?"
You rolled your eyes, smiling as you watched him cover the floor with the grey newspapers. After he was completed, you grabbed a roller, and dipped it in the pale beige.
Or what you thought was the pale beige. Only until after you had rolled a glop of paint onto the walls had you realized the color was blue.
Your eyes widened and your jaw dropped. "Natsu!" You panicked. He looked up, and his eyes averted behind you.
His eyes also widened, and his jaw dropped slightly. He looked at you with huge eyes. "It was beige when I bought it, I swear."
Your eyes narrowed as you read the label to him. "Marine Blue." Natsu shook his head. "The container is beige!"
You almost slapped him. "Just because the container is beige...doesn't mean the color is beige!" You argued.
After a few moments of silence and staring at the two buckets of marine blue that sat innocently on the floor, you spoke up again.
"I guess our living room is going to be marine blue, then!" You said enthusiastically, rolling the paint evenly across the walls.
Natsu smiled sheepishly as he dipped his roller and painted the wall across from you. "Sorry? It looks better this way, though. Don't worry."
