-Baby Born With Two Heads?-

"Ey! Dolly! Check out dis headline!" Boots called to you as you walked down the ramp with your papers in your arms.

He waved the paper infront of your face. "Well I can't read's it if ya keep wavin' it." You laughed, snatching the paper from his hands and checked it out.

"Baby born with two heads? Must be from Brooklyn." You shrugged, making Boots laugh, you slapped the paper back into his chest then patted his back. "Ey, wanna be my sellin' partner taday?" You offered, hoisting the papers up onto your shoulder.

"Of course! Ey, headline stinks, we should gets sellin' if we wanna be back by night." Boots grinned, starting to walk with you to the streets.

The both of you started to spout a ton of non-sense headlines that were somewhat believable, but total bs. It still worked.

Boots was trying to beg someone to buy his last paper, in which he was unsuccessful. "No one wansta buy from me." He groaned in defeat.

"Cause ya got no strategy!" You laughed, "I'll show ya how it's done." You then walked up to a wealthy looking woman and put on a believable, pitiful act.

"Buy me pape ma'am? I'm starvin'" You spoke, making your voice crack, she put her hand of her heart "of course dear, here's a dime." She handed you the coin, and you made your way back to Boots, waving the coin is his face. He snatched it from you.

"Whatever." He huffed, rolling his eyes.

"Come on, sell ya last pape so we can's get backs." You slapped his back and he started to call out the headlines, some man came up and took his last pape.

"Cool. Let's go." You yawned, slinging your arm around his shoulder and walked with him.

You two have been friends for longer then you could remember. He was one of the funniest people you knew. To be fair you didn't know anyone outside of the newsies. But they were family so that didn't matter. You couldn't deny that he was cute though.

"Ey! EY! Earth to Dolly!" He tried getting your attention, waving his hand in front of your face frantically.

"Whattt??" You whined, he then pointed to Race who was trying to talk to you.

"Oh, hey Racer." You greeted, Race crossed his arms and raised his eyebrows up and down. "What's gots ya so distracted, eh?" You removed your arm from Boots' shoulder and yanked the cigar from Races lips, then took a long drag.

You sighed "Nothin' in particular." You responded, shrugging then handing Races cigar back. "Sure." Race rolled his eyes.

"Anywho, I'se was wonderin' if ya wanna go to the races with me?" Race spoke, adjusting his stance and his hat.

"Eh, me and Boots 'ere got's plans." You grabbed Boots' shoulder and shook him a bit. Race raised his brows and smirked, "Alrighty then. Ill leaves ya two." Race put his cigar back between his lips and walked away.

You patted Boots' back and you two started walking to a restaurant, Tibby's. "So. Whos gonna pay?" You raised a brow, side-glancing him.

"You sell more pape's. So not it." Boots put his hands up, you groaned, you knew he was gonna do this.

"Fine. Usually the man is supposed ta pay for a womans meal." You stuck out your tongue, you two walked into the restaurant and took a seat.

"Did prices change? I 'member it bein' cheaper." You muttered, looking at the menu with wide eyes. "We cans split the check.." Boots murmured, feeling a bit bad about making you pay.
