Sams pov
It feels so weird for someone to Listen to what I have to say or what I feel but Leah seems to really care, she said her, viv and Beth (who have become like my adoptive aunties) are going to write a letter to school about what I struggle with, methods to help and even try and explain the ptsd side to things , which I have yet to speak in detail to Leah about.
As we pull into the drive of Beth and Vivs place I notice that there are no lights on. However as they open the front door and a new person is there it becomes apparent why.
'I'm saf sorry I didn't realise it was you and Leah, let me get Beth'
However, despite me preparing for a shout she texts Beth, I guess she doesn't like shouting either. Beth comes to the door and explains to me and Leah that saf is here for a catch-up while she is in London. Saf offers everyone a drink to which I ask for a glass of orange juice while everyone else asks for coffee. Saf, however, comes in with two orange juices and three coffees. She also has sunglasses on.
'Sorry about the sunglasses I just find the tv too bright'
Beth replies with 'hey it's ok you look cool as ever'
When Beth asks me what film to watch I shrug my shoulders, I haven't watched a film since the last day of primary school, so I hadn't a clue.
When she turns the tv on to browse through movies I get what saf meant. I place my head on Leah's chest trying to block out the light and before I know it saf asks if I want to go into the hallway. I politely take up the offer as I knew what was going to happen if I didn't.Safs PoV
I had popped down to Beth's as a surprise while I visited London and she had invited me for a movie night, warning me that Leah and her sister would be there, however I never turn down a movie night. When I got everyone drinks I opted for orange juice, coffee hurts my teeth and I grabbed my sunglasses as for some reason everyone else's tvs are way too bright. When I came in I spotted Leah's sister, Sammy picking at her skin with her head in Leah's chest. I asked her if she wanted to go outside and she said yes.
'So kiddo what's up'
She just shook her head, she reminded me of when I go non verbal so I decided to text Viv and ask if she had any ideas. Before I know it viv popped out the front room and sat with me and sam.
'Sam is it too much in there'
She nodded
'Is it the noise'
She shook her head, that's why she had headphones on, it makes sense now.
'Is it the feeling of something or your clothes'
She shook her head
'The light'
She nodded
'Hey do you want to borrow my sunglasses?'
She looked up at me with puppy eyes before whispering 'i got some today but they are in the car'
And with that viv had gone into the front room and got Leah's car keys.
'Well let's get them kiddo'
And with that we had sunglasses and headphones ready to go, we also picked up some stim toys for her just in case she needed them.Leah's pov
I knew she would be in safe hands when saf took her out and viv went too but it left me wondering what had upset her. Before I could even think about answering that question viv popped in and said 'could I borrow your car keys, kiddo needs her sunglasses'
That's makes sense so I passed her the car keys and two minutes later, kiddo and saf came in, arm in arm, with sunglasses and stim toys. I had notice, however that the headphones hadn't come off the entire time we had been out the house, but I wasn't going to push it. When viv, saf and Sam all sat down we opted for a safe movie, Harry Potter, a classic and one of Vivs and Beth's favourites. Sam hadn't left safs side since going out and It just showed that she truly felt understood.
