Kazuha strongly believes in soulmates. Not the 'there is only one person for you in the whole world' kind of thing. She believes we can have different kinds of soulmate. Sakura is definitely her romantic soulmate. She doesn't care how young they are or how much more people they can meet. Kazuha strongly believes that Sakura is the love of her life.

Yunjin on the other hand is definitely also her soulmate. The best friend kind. She doesn't think she could have a better connection with anyone. They've been friends since Kazuha first learned how to speak, they've been there for each other through everything. First kisses, first days of high school, first girlfriends, first heartbreak. Kazuha think that she can proudly say that she can deal with anything Yunjin related. But as she sits on her best friend's bed, hugging her a tight as she can while the other girl just cries her heart out. Kazuha just feels... helpless.

"Yunjin, I need you to calm down, please." Kazuha asks for the nth time. "I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong."

"C—Chae... She–" Yunjin tries to say but her sobs don't allow her to finish any sentence.

"Okay, it's okay." Kazuha says, pulling her best friend even closer. "Let's just calm down first, you can tell me what happened later."

Kazuha doesn't know how long she stays there, just holding Yunjin while the other girl cries. She can't think of a single moment she saw Yunjin this sad.

"She left." Yunjin says and Kazuha can't help but feel a lot like she's having a déjà vu. The situation feels just like what Kazuha had to deal with – what Yunjin had to deal with – years ago with Ryujin. Except that Yunjin seemed way more affected by it this time and that Kazuha could not believe Chaewon would do something like that.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Kazuha asks as softly as she can.

"I'm just stupid." Yunjin lets out and Kazuha can recognize by her voice that she's about to break into tears again. "I kept thinking she would leave if things were any less than perfect but turns out that she just left anyway. Maybe I should just be alone."

"Don't ever say that." Kazuha says sternly. "What exactly happened? Maybe it was a misunderstanding?"

"She tried to kiss me." Yunjin says and starts sobbing again. "I pulled away and she just– I just–"

"You pulled away?" Kazuha isn't sure what to make of the situation anymore. "Why? Did you not want it?"

"Because I'm stupid." Yunjin repeats still sobbing between all her sentences. "I just– I wanted our first kiss to be perfect, she deserved it to be perfect. She did everything in such an amazing way for me and I just... I wanted to be the one doing it perfectly in return at least once, I think." She sighs. "I don't even know what I was thinking anymore."

"It's okay." Kazuha tries to reassure her. "You can just–"

"It's not. After tonight I don't think Chae will even want to see me and honestly? I don't blame her."

"Did she say anything mean to you?" Kazuha asks already feeling completely protective over her best friend. "If she did, I swear I'll–"

"She didn't." Yunjin frantically shakes her head. "She just doesn't think I like her."

"Did she say that?" Kazuha asks.

"She asked me if I actually like her because she thinks that I'm making up excuses to make every moment not good enough." Yunjin answers. "The worst part is that she's right."

"What?" Kazuha whisper yells. Any other moment and she would be scolding Yunjin non-stop, but the other girl looked so vulnerable right now that Kazuha didn't have the heart to do it. "You don't like her?"
