It was early morning, and I was awoken by rays of sun shining through the window. For once, it felt as if everything was at ease. I slowly rose up and stretched, looking at my side to see my new beloved. Only I noticed she was not there. I looked around in a panic until a figure caught my eye. It took me a minute to make out who it could be since I was still quite tired. When my vision eventually cleared, I was in shock to find it was Zadkiel. He was standing there with a sly smirk on his face. The bastard knew what we had done. My vision then drifted a little ways behind him to jophiel. I watched as she quickly tried to cover herself and gain composure. She was pure beauty, and nothing could ever change that. My train of thought was broken by an annoying, teasing voice. "So it looks like you two lovebirds finally did it, hmm?" I scowled a bit. Why was he here? How did he even get into the room? "Why are you even here?" I asked, annoyed. I was tired of dealing with his bullshit every day. "Well, you see, Ezekiel, I have ways of finding out everything, and this is something that just decided to pop up, I guess." He looked down at his nails, a smirk still on his face. "But that's not the main reason I'm here, even though you two did just commit an act of sin." He placed his hand on his hip and cocked it to the side. "Stop stalling and just get on with it, won't you?" He has a thing for dragging things out, and this was one of his most annoying traits. It's the reason Michael can't stand to be around him. "All right, fine, but you know how much I like teasing you, Ezekiel." He smirked more and winked at me. I rolled my eyes. "Anyways, Father has requested we all come to a meeting in his presence." His eyes told me everything; he was worried we had been caught. He was only keeping himself composed so as not to scare Jophiel. That was one thing I had to give him credit for. I knew his thoughts were most likely true. Father would never just call us all into one place without giving an explanation, unless it was really inexcusable. What were we ever thinking? Were we really that stupid to think he wouldn't know? "You better hurry up; they are waiting on us three," he muttered. I knew all of his children would be there, along with Seraphim. This was it... I thought back to when Lucifer was explaining his plan to me. "Do you think we will get caught, Lucifer? Is this really safe and worth it?" "Well Ezekiel... I wasn't honest with anyone else about this, but I am sure you can be trusted. Anyone who helps with my plan is destined to be punished... We could never be caught, and everyone would still be found out. That's just the way it is... Anyone who stays behind, helping me... helping us... They will be punished." The memory faded away. "I'm sure you already know what this might be about Ezekiel, and I just want you to know you are okay." I looked up at Zadkiel, who was trying to be sincere. We would not know what would happen to us until the time came... and he was willing to accept any obstacle in his way. I admired his bravery. I stood up, trying to keep myself covered, as I needed to grab my outfit in order to leave. He must have gotten a look at something on me because his face went bright red. "Oh my..." he muttered. I got extremely uncomfortable by that, but I ignored it. I prepared myself and, with a sigh, looked at Jophiel, who was already dressed. The look on her face was one of distress. I was actually starting to regret the decision I made last night with her. I didn't care if I got in trouble for something I did, but I never wanted her to be dragged into it. I could only hope that the blame would be shifted to me and only me. She leaned against me for comfort, and I gladly put my arm around her, pulling her close and protecting her from anything that could cause her harm. "Come on, you guys." Zadkiel motioned to leave and opened the door. The three of us slowly made our way down the corridors toward the main judgment room. Jophiel held on to me tightly. I looked down at her. Her breathing was quick and heavy, and her eyes could only stay locked in front of her. I knew she was worse off than us two. I kept her as close as I possibly could. Zadkiel refused to lead the way out of fear halfway through. It's like his legs just locked in place, and he froze. As much as I hated him at times, something in my instincts triggered. It was to protect both of them. I stopped and looked back at him. "Come on Zadkiel..." I said softly. My voice snapped him out of his trance, and he quickly walked up to keep pace. The voices of singing angels could not be heard at all, which was very strange indeed. All we could hear were our own footsteps and breathing. It was frightening and eerie. Eventually, we approached the tall doors. The other side awaited our judgment and our punishment. This was it. It was time. I thought back to Lucifer and me. "What do you think is out there, Ezekiel?" "Out where?" "You know, beyond the clouds, beyond the sky. Beyond these Gates!" "Oh, well, I'm not sure." "Yeah, well, I'm going to find out soon enough! Just wait and see!" I smiled slightly. "I bet you will, Luci... I bet you will.
