"Cabrón, you're late!"
Abigail Corpuz smirked as her eyes fell upon that of her best friend, a small man with chocolate brown hair, a beard and moustache as well as a very noticeable frown.
She giggled to herself as she watched his lift both of his hands up to flip her off, with the Spanish-Filipino woman repeating the gesture with a chuckle.
"Leave me alone, gilipollas!"
Fernando Alonso laughed, rolling the dark of his eyes at his best friend as he stepped in to her apartment, since the woman had been waiting at the door for his arrival, mainly to insult him.
It was a common thing.
Since they had become friends which was when they were teenagers, a long time ago, it was a common occurrence that Fernando was always late when they were supposed to see one another, which meant that Abigail was always left waiting for him to turn up late, though acting as if he was right on time.
And he would usually either tell her to leave him alone or to shut up, but she knew better.
"What excuse have you got this time, estúpido." The Corpuz woman laughed to herself, relishing in how she knew what was about to leave his lips.
"I was with Mark!"
"Doing what?"
"Things!"
"Oh?"
Fernando immediately cursed in his native tongue as he watched her signature smirk form on her lips, the look of satisfaction evident in her irises which only made him scoff at her actions, even if he was used to them.
She always seemed to know why he was late and always managed to annoy him and make what he was doing strange, but he knew that she understood.
"How is your boyfriend today?" Abigail sung as she walked in to her kitchen in order to make herself a glass of pure orange juice, the coldness of the liquid being like heaven to her lips.
"He's good." The Alonso man huffed in defeat, jumping on to her kitchen island to the point where his legs were dangling off, with the Spanish man subconsciously swinging them. "He says hello."
"As he always does." The Brunette woman grinned, the dimples on her cheeks becoming prominent, wrinkles forming around her eyes. "Anika was asking for you."
"She was? Is she okay? Does she need me to pick her up? Is she in trouble? Does she need money?" Fernando panicked, his eyes startling wide open as he heard the name leave his best friends lips.
Anika Patiño was a young woman who Fernando had taken in after her parents passed away, having become her legal guardian, with her mother having died from Cancer and her father having died in a racing accident in their home country of Colombia.
Even though she was an adult now, Fernando was still incredibly concerned for her, always worrying about her and if she needed anything, which made Abigail laugh, because most of the time, she just wanted to hang out with him.
"Anika is perfectly okay, hermano. She was asking if you had arrived here yet, because she had seen you and wanted to know if she could come over." The Spanish-Filipino woman reassured her best friend, knowing that the pair had practically adopted the young woman, not that they minded.
As long as Anika preferred her Tia Abi, that was all that mattered.
"What did you say?"
"I told her no, and that how dare she have the audacity to think that she was welcome here." Abigail spoke with a deadpan expression, noticing the concerned look on the face of the man before her.
