His hand traveled to the seven pointed star hung around his neck and squeezed it within his glove. Quivering and bleeding, his lips spoke some kind of hushed, desperate prayer but not to the Father, the Warrior, or any aspect he'd prayed to in the past. No, Quince now begged for mercy from the Stranger in the light of flames that flickered before him, heat rising against his face as he witnessed something truly unholy.
Death was kinder than how some within the Faith portrayed it. Quince always thought of the Stranger's nameless face as a humble and sincere presence when one would meet their destined end. Now he attempted to invoke that kindness, to pray and beg until some divine retribution would occur but the Stranger was simply a stranger and Quince was no saint to be rewarded such protections.
The light of a true god embraced his sight and peace scorched his skin to the tendon, to the muscle, to the bone, to the soul.

Anyway, I am currently catching up on s2 and I am missing ASOIAF sm, I may even revamp my Euron Greyjoy fic for the 20th time. I'm currently bouncing around when these guys story will meet up in the HOTD canon, I have a few ideas so stay tuned :3!
