Cat, not being able to resist her competitive side, agreed to play basketball. Jesus christ since when has she become so soft, if anyone else in the school had asked her to play basketball with her she would have laughed in their face.

As they were leaving the loud house they were both stopped by the one and only Rita Loud. "Where do you two think you are going, you should be tutoring, lord knows your grades need it Lynn," she says that last breath but Cat still heard it, letting out a breathy laugh.

Lynn looked at her funny, she doesn't know why but she wanted her to laugh like that again.

"We are just going to my house to get some of my spanish book," Cat lied without even thinking twice about it which made Lynn give her another look, one of respect, Lynn was almost (emphasise on almost) impressed at the girls ability to lie so easily.

"Ok, fine by me," Rita said obviously flustered about one of the usual dilemmas going down in the loud house.

When they arrived at the basketball court, Cat picked up a previously discarded basketball and started bouncing it, "first to 10 wins," she says, going straight for a jump shot without any warning, surprising Lynn, not only with her skills, but with the lack of warning that came with her sudden outburst.

"Hey that is so unfair," Lynn protested, reacting as quickly as she could.

"Life is unfair bebita get used to it." Cat quickly replied as she bounce passed to Lynn, who quickly recovered and got a lay-up.

After about 40 minutes of playing it was 9 - 7 Cat's way and Lynn was starting to get aggressive, she was sloppy with her tackles and seemed like she would never run out of energy.

"Damn chica did you snort coffee or some shit," Cat exclaimed out of breath and tried to pivot away from Lynn's flailing arms. This was enough to distract Lynn and make her burst out laughing, allowing Cat to get her last jump shot. That quickly snapped Lynn out of her laughing fit and she realised that someone had actually beat her in a sport.

Cat just layed down on the floor and started laughing, half out of exhaustion. "Fuck Lynn how are you not tired." she said not realising how big this moment was for Lynn. Someone had beaten her in a sport.

"You beat me," Lynn said in disbelief, "no one has ever beaten me in a sport." she said questioning everything, she wasn't even mad she was just confused.

"Well what can I say, I am better than you at everything. First Spanish and now basketball." yep there is the 'asshole' Catalina Sanchez everyone talks about. All Lynn could do was stand with her arms out in shock.

Cat checks her watch and realises that their first tutoring session had just come to an end, "well it's been fun, Loud but that is our first session done, good game, yeah?. Practise those pronunciations for me and I'll see you tomorrow, same time?" She just walks off patting Lynn on the back and whispering that last part in her ear, high off her win, just leaving Lynn there standing alone.

Lynn was questioning everything, what went wrong? What caused her to lose? And why wasn't she mad about it?

Authors note:

God we love when Lynn is extremely clueless to her own feelings 🤩. Sorry for the short chapter guys 😔
