"I haven't been in the OR in two days. I'm getting some OR time," Cristina complained to Izzie as they all put their trauma gowns on. They were told an ambulance was going to be there in a few minutes and they had to take care of the patient. "We haven't had a decent resident this week."

"The last two weren't that bad," Blake tried to lighten the mood.

"It doesn't matter which resident we get," Alex scoffed, his voice laced with a cynicism that mirrored Cristina's. "They suck."

George agreed, "They all sucked."

Meredith lagged a few steps behind, the weight of her burden a heavy cloak on her shoulders. Her movements were sluggish as she fumbled with the ties of her gown. She still wasn't feeling normal and had that uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach telling her that she would die today.

"I miss Dr. Bailey," George sighed, voicing a sentiment that hung heavy in the air.

"Yeah, me too," Blake agreed with him. The mood was a little down, everybody missed their resident even though they might not always show it—Alex and Cristina.

The silence stretched as they waited at the ambulance bay. Alex turned to Izzie, asking, "So you wanna do charts later?"

Izzie replied with a steely resolve. "Never gonna happen. Alex, I gave you your chance, you had your chance and you slept with someone else." A ripple of amusement passed through the group as Izzie continued, her voice dripping with mock pity. "I forgave you in the spirit of being a bigger person, of rising above. But these legs are closed to you now. The panties are staying on. So you and me, never gonna happen."

Cristina, her patience wearing thin, snapped. "Can we get back to the point?"

"You had a point?" George asked, confused.
