PAARU'S REALISATION

INTRO : 

Devi is a young woman who is working as a professor in a government college. She is married to kishore for 10 years . They have two children. Netra and Nihal. Netra is studying grade 2 whereas nihal is still a toddler. She resides along with her husband, children and mother-in-law. Her mother-in-law's name is parvathamma. 

STORY : 

Devi came home from the college and sat on the couch. She is feeling exhausted after a long day. She looked around the mess and sighed. Her daughter is watching TV. She didn't change her school uniform yet. She glanced at her toddler nihal. He is pouring paint on his clothes and on the floor. He is playing with the paints. Netra saw her brother and shouted at him.

Netra : Nihal ! You took my paint bottles again. I won't leave you this time ! 

Netra whacked nihal and he started crying. 

Devi : Netra !

Netra : amma ! Why are you shouting at me ? 

Devi : nothing ! Go and have a bath. 

Devi picked Nihal and consoled him. She gave a bath to him and put him to sleep. She was coeaned the mess created by him. She was mopping the floor. That is when she heard the chuckles of two people. She know them very well. It's her mother-in-law and their neighbour lalithamma. They are of same age and they became friends on the first day itself.  These two ladies will kill their time by gossiping about everyone in their locality. Their favourite topic to converse is about their respective daughter-in-laws. Lalithamma's daughter-in-law is much younger than devi. She got married at a young age. During the time of marriage lalithamma promised that she will let her to continue her education. But after marriage she didn't let her to study further. Parvathamma always hated the fact that her daughter-in-law earns more than her son. Initially she was nice to devi but she changed a lot after her friendship with lalithamma. Parvathamma is staying with her son since her husband's death. It have been 7 years.

Lalithamma : see you tomorrow parvathy ! Bye ! 

Parvathamma : Bye lalitha !

Parvathamma never bothered about her grandchildren much. She always felt annoyed because of her grandson. He is extremely naughty and she is not an admirer of kids. She used to mock Devi whenever she gets a chance. Kishore works as a IT professional . He comes home at 8 :30 pm. After coming home he would take care of nihal.

Parvathamma : Devi !

Devi : yes athamma ( MIL ) ! 

Parvathamma : I can't take care of your son anymore. I am not feeling well. In my time my mother-in-law never touched my children. But i am taking care of your son and letting you to work. I don't want to burden myself anymore.

Devi : it's ok athamma ! There is a daycare for employee's children in the university. I will take nihal with me from tomorrow. 

Parvathamma : you should have done that from the beginning right ?

Devi : actually..

Parvathamma : shut up ! I know very well about people like you.

Devi didn't say anything but stayed silent. They heard the calling bell sound. Devi went and opened the door. It's her husband kishore.

Kishore : hey ! 

Devi : hi ! How was your day ?

Kishore : hectic ! Yours ?

Devi : Good ! 

Kishore went for having a bath and Devi started arranging the dining table. 

Devi : dinner is ready athamma !
