After running a lap around Joe's garden, the boys had me cornered with my back facing the pond, a jet of water from the hose was the least of my worries. I knew that a few steps back would land me swimming in the pond. Not a flattering look.
I held my hands out in front of me, "Alright guys, you got me, I surrender"
"Hmm... I dunno boys, you think Lizzie would enjoy a swim?" Tom grinned mischievously whilst pointing the hose directly at me.
My eyes widened in shock, "You wouldn't dare!"
"Oh, we would," Will grinned clutching Joe's vlogging camera.
"Guys, come on now, we're all friends here," I said, "no need to push me in the pond."
They all grinned and took a step forward resulting in me taking one back. My smile faltered as Tom grinned wickedly at me aiming the hose directly at my face.
"Tom," I said in a warning tone, "put the hose down."
"No"
"Tom, I can't swim," I started to say but was interrupted by a jet of water being sprayed directly in my face. My arms went up to protect my face from the oncoming water. I stumbled backwards, flailing my arms, losing my balance and falling into the pond.
This is it, I thought, I've met my doom, I'm going to fall in and drown. Great, bloody brilliant, I won't even get to try out for that team.
But the impact of the water never came. Instead in that split second I feel an arm around my waist, pulling me backwards away from the pond and shoving me down onto the grass.
I sit stunned on the grass looking at a large splash of water coming from the pond. Whoever had saved me from falling must have fallen in instead.
I stared at the surface of the water waiting to see who resurfaced. It didn't take long before Joe's head appeared in the water, covered in green pond weed and looking a little pissed off.
The other boys were now reacting to Joe having fallen in. They all stood staring wide eyed apart from Tom who dropped the hose and rushed forward, offering out a hand to help Joe out of the water, "Dude, I'm so sorry, I didn't think she was actually going to fall in"
Joe took a hold of Tom's hand, gave an evil smirk before yanking on Tom's hand causing him to dive head first into the pond. Once he had resurfaced Joe and the others started laughing. Tom pouted before splashing Joe.
"Yeah, I deserved that," he stated before joining in the laughter. I grinned, still a little shocked from my near death experience.

Once Joe and Tom were out of the pond. Jack took control of the hose, spraying himself and everyone else to get the remaining mud off.
We all stood soaking wet by the back door whilst Mr. Sugg handed me a stack of towels.
"There you go guys, sorry some of them are really old and a couple may be Zoe's," he explained.
"That's alright, thank you," I said smiling and taking the stack from him. The boys practically dived on me, each grabbing a towel.
We all began to dry ourselves off, the boys teasing Lewis, who had managed to grab the only bright pink towel belonging to Zoe and Will who managed to whip Tom in the eye with his. How you whip someone in the eye with a towel is beyond me but I guess that its not hard for a bunch of guys that act like they're twelve. Once the boys declared that they were dry, they rushed inside, stopping to grab their spare clothes from the car. I followed after them.
"Hey Liz, do you want to borrow some clothes?" I turn to find Joe standing at the foot of the staircase about to go up.
"Er... are you sure that's okay? I mean I could just go home and grab some," I reply, wrapping the towel closer around my body.
"It's no problem at all," he grins before beginning to climb the stairs, me trailing behind him until he stops at a door at the top of the stairs.
"I have to warn you it's a bit messy, I was in a rush this morning," he says sheepishly before pushing open the door.
I glanced around the room. Plain white walls were decorated with posters, a wardrobe took up most of the space on the left side of the room and in the centre was a double bed scattered carelessly with, by the looks of it, most of Joe's wardrobe. I chuckled, turning to look at a blushing Joe, "Trust me, this is positively tidy compared to my room"
He grins before turning to rummage through his chest of draws. A few seconds later he hands me a pile of clothes, "Here, sorry if they are a little on the large side but Zoe would kill me if I messed up her clothes and I'd probably end up picking the outfit she's planning to wear tomorrow or some shit like that. Anyway, you can get changed in her room if you like" he says before leading me to a closed door next to his room.
"Thanks," I say grinning.
"You're welcome," he says walking back to his room.
"Oh and thanks for saving me from the pond, I really appreciate it"
He stops in his doorway, turning to face me, "I wouldn't want you to drown or anything, we've only just met and you seem really nice" I blush, knowing that my face is most likely a nice shade of scarlet. "I'd like you to stick around, I can see us becoming really good friends," he grins before stepping into his room.
"Friends" I mutter, trying not to let it get to me, before pushing open the door to Zoe's room.
Surprise! Sorry it took so long.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
Thank you for sticking around. Until next time.
