With only a few days left in Germany, Jobe felt a bittersweet mix of emotions. The trip had been a rollercoaster, from the joy of the match to the tension of Gio's outburst. He was determined to make the most of his remaining time, hoping to leave with good memories despite the recent drama.

To celebrate their final days, the group decided to go out for a meal together. They chose a cozy restaurant nestled in the heart of the city, known for its hearty German cuisine and warm ambiance. The table buzzed with laughter and conversation as they reminisced about their adventures and shared their favorite moments.

Jobe arrived early, accompanied by Trent, Jude and Bukayo. They chatted while they waited for the others. Soon, Jobe spotted Imani and Jadon approaching. To his surprise, they were laughing together, and Jadon was complaining loudly.

"Hey, guys!" Jadon called out, rolling his eyes dramatically. "You won't believe how lovey-dovey Gio and Imani were in the back of the car. I swear, if I had to hear one more sweet nothing, I would've jumped out."

Jobe forced a smile, his mind racing. How could Imani be so affectionate with Gio after what had happened? He glanced at her, trying to read her expression, but she seemed genuinely happy.

Gio arrived shortly after, making his way through the crowd. "Sorry we're  late," he said, pulling out a chair for Imani. "Got caught up in the city."

Throughout the meal, Gio was attentive to Imani, whispering in her ear and making her laugh. Jobe felt a knot of confusion tighten in his chest. Was it possible that he had misunderstood the severity of the situation? Or was Imani hiding her true feelings?

As the evening wore on, Jobe found it increasingly difficult to enjoy himself. His thoughts kept drifting back to the slap and Imani's plea for him not to tell Jadon. When they finally returned to the villa, he knew he couldn't keep his questions bottled up any longer.

Jobe waited until the others had dispersed to their rooms before approaching Imani. She was sitting alone on the terrace, gazing out at the night sky.

"Imani, can we talk?" Jobe asked softly, taking a seat beside her.

She looked at him, her expression calm but wary. "Of course, Jobe. What's on your mind?"

Jobe hesitated, unsure of how to start. "It's about what happened the other night with Gio. I just... I don't understand how you can be so close to him after that."

Imani sighed, her shoulders sagging slightly. "Jobe, it's complicated. Gio was drunk that night, and he didn't know what he was doing. He apologized to me, and I believe him. I love him, Jobe."

Jobe's heart sank. "But, Imani, you can't just excuse his behavior because he was drunk. What if it happens again?"

She shook her head, her eyes pleading. "It won't, Jobe. Gio knows he messed up, and he promised it would never happen again. Everyone makes mistakes, and I want to give him another chance."

Jobe felt a surge of frustration but kept his voice gentle. "I just want you to be safe and happy, Imani. If you ever need anything, you know I'm here for you, right?"

Imani smiled weakly, reaching out to squeeze his hand. "I know, Jobe. And I appreciate it more than you know. But I have to figure this out on my own."

Jobe nodded, feeling a mixture of helplessness and concern. "Just promise me you'll take care of yourself."

"I promise," Imani said, her voice steady.

As Jobe walked back to his room, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease. He wanted to believe Imani's words, but the memory of Gio's violence lingered in his mind. He knew he had to respect her choices, but he also knew he would always be there, watching and waiting, ready to step in if she needed him.

The next few days passed in a blur of activities and farewells. Jobe did his best to stay positive and enjoy the time with his friends, but the uncertainty about Imani and Gio weighed heavily on his heart. As he boarded the plane back home, he cast one last look at the villa, silently vowing to keep an eye on Imani, no matter what.
