There was a loud thud at the door. Victoria rushed there. Matt had just opened the gate when an excessive force from outside pushed him inside. He was thrown back. The door swung open, and Pablo broke in and lunged at Matt. He went for Matt's neck and tried to strangle him. "I knew it! I knew it, you bastard." Victoria literally screamed at that sight. Pablo turned to her and said, "Oh! So, you are here, bitch. Your time is up!" Matt pushed him with all his might and crawled away from him. That quarrel was visible only in the dim light of candles. Nothing was clearly visible. Matt fumbled for the golf stick on the ground. Victoria sensed the buzzing of Matt's phone. The electrician was calling again and again. Pablo, anyhow, got Matt's leg and pulled it forcefully. Having jumped on him, Pablo started punching him in the face and cursing him too. Suddenly, something struck against Pablo's head, and he heard the scream of a woman. He had fallen to the ground with his hands tightly gripped around the spot where that thing hit him. It was the golf stick that Victoria was holding. She helped Matt to get up. His face was badly blood-stained. She handed him the golf stick. At that moment, a sudden, strong jerk made Matt stumble into the bedroom. It was Pablo from behind. He pushed Victoria into one corner and jumped on Matt. Matt was trying to hit him with the golf stick but was helpless. Pablo pushed him onto the candles, and they were out.

The two figures were fighting blindly in total darkness. Victoria was screaming Matt's name from the hall, and from the bedroom, the yelling voices of both men were coming. Matt pulled Pablo out of the room, but then Pablo got hold of the golf stick in Matt's hand. Pablo twisted Matt's arm around his back and placed the golf stick between his arm and shoulder. In a fraction of a second, he twisted his arm terribly. Matt cried with pain, and a cracking sound was also clearly audible. Matt was struggling hard, but Pablo took hold of him tightly. Victoria was too tense to do something, but then something struck her mind. She picked up Matt's phone, typed 'H2' in a message box, and sent it to the electrician. She rushed to the kitchen then and fumbled for a sharp knife. She got one.

Then she rushed to that site. She saw Pablo on Matt, punching him brutally. Matt's right arm was entangled between his back and golf stick. He lay there immobile and out of energy, whereas Pablo was entirely contrary to him. Matt was only screaming.

Victoria screamed and jumped on Pablo. She dug the knife deep into his back. He screamed in pain and fell to the ground. She dashed to help Matt, who was holding his broken right arm with his left hand. Pablo was badly wriggling on the floor. He stretched his hand to his back and pulled out the knife. Anyhow, he stood up and stared at Matt. In the darkness, only their shadows were visible. "You're a dead meat, Matt!" Pablo warned and lunged at Matt. Matt dove at the split second and got the hold of the knife. Pablo was pushing the knife with both hands, but Matt had to resist that with his only working right hand. Matt poured all of his efforts into pushing it back. He was crushing his teeth. The blade was two inches away from Matt's throat. Victoria was listening to their grunts from behind. She couldn't do anything. What if she did something and it turned out to be severe for Matt? She kept on praying for him. Pablo gave an evil smile and gave a light push to the knife. Matt was gripping the knife, but not as firmly as Pablo did. He pushed Matt against the wall. Pablo gripped it firmly and gave it one last push with all his might. And then Victoria screamed...

The knife was an inch away when Matt got it, and it passed by his neck. Pablo was unable to understand what just happened. By that time, he could, so Matt pulled the knife towards Pablo, and the blade ran into his left eye. Pablo screamed in pain. Blood oozed out of the gash. His hands were in the air, and within moments, his face was entirely bloody. Matt jumped at him and pulled out the knife. Pablo screamed again, and before his voice subsided, Matt ran the knife again at the same spot. It was the death scream that came out of Pablo. There was no vision, only the sound of screams and yells. Matt was out of his mind. He tried to pull out the knife again, but this time it was stuck in his eye socket. At last, he pushed Pablo towards the large window in the hall that gave the sea view. With all his might, Matt threw him, crashing the glass of the window. That figure in black fell from the fifteenth floor to the roof of a parked car.

The sound was so thunderous and breath-taking that the security guards of nearby buildings gathered there. Many people living on the ground floor also came out of their homes. The roof of that car was terribly dented, and the body was completely battered. The shattered glass was strewn all around it. Victoria took a look down and rushed to Matt, who was still holding his broken arm. She dragged him to the lift after concluding that there was no one watching them. They got in. She pressed the button on the lift, which would take them to the underground parking area. The door of their lift closed, and just then the door of another lift opened. The electrician came out of it. He went to their flat number, whose door was already open. It was still very dark inside, so he went in, calling, "Sir! Are you in there? I'm an electrician."

By that time, the guards had rushed to the lifts, but they were both unavailable. From one, Matt and Victoria were descending down, and the other was on the fifteenth floor, which would take quite a long time to come. The guards rather took stairs. They pulled their guns out. As soon as they reached the stairs, the doors of the first lift opened. They both came out cautiously, but still no one was seeing them. They tip-toed to the parking area and rushed to their car.

On the fifteenth floor, the guards were highly alert. The apartment next to Matt's was locked. Only Matt lived on that floor. The guards moved towards the door. Two entered. Some of them switched on the flashlights. "There he is!" One shouted with his gun pointed at the electrician. He was baffled and threw his hands in the air. "Freeze!" That man had no words to say. "On the ground!"

"Please! Please! I didn't do anything. trust me!" He shouted. One guard went out to call the police. There he saw that the lift from which the electrician had reached up had just reached the ground floor from the fifteenth floor. "Someone has escaped." He said this as he came in. "Who's it?" A guard inquired about that electrician, who was deadly frightened and filled with tears. "I don't know what you are saying. I know nothing about what happened here." Without hearing any of his further confessions, the guards took him out. One of them stayed there to check out the place a little bit. He went to the shattered window, looked down and got the most horrifying shock of his life.

The body on the roof of the car was gone.
