Dustin, Steve, and Cherry retreated to the break room, Cherry's books now pushed to the edge of the table, replaced by the small, handheld recorder that Dustin had brought. The three gathered around, their attention focused on the recording device. As the tape began to play, the low hum of Russian voices mixed with the crackling of static and a soft melody. Dustin leaned forward, tapping his finger on the table rhythmically as he listened intently, his brows furrowed in concentration.

"So, what do you think?" He questioned, the tape finally ending. Cherry looked around the table, her expression concerned. "They sound angry," she remarked, her eyes reflecting the worry in her voice. Steve tilted his head, a hint of recognition crossing his face as he focused on the background. "The music. Right there, at the end." Dustin groaned, tossing his hands up in the air. "Why are you listening to the music, Steve? Listen to the Russian! We're translating Russian!" Steve shrugged, his gaze still fixed on the recording device, unfazed by Dustin's frustration.

"I'm trying to listen to the Russian, but there's music-" Before he could finish, Robin walked in, a confident stride in her step. "All right, babysitting time is over." she declared, pointing her index finger toward Steve. "You need to get in there." As Robin looked around the room, she noticed her board on the wall had been erased, the sight making her pause mid-sentence. "Hey, my board! That was important data, shitbirds!" she exclaimed, her annoyance evident. Steve rolled his eyes as he gestured toward the tape recorder.

"I guarantee you, what we're doing is way more important than your stupid data." Robin raised an eyebrow, skepticism clear in her eyes. "Yeah? And how do you know these Russians are up to no good anyways?" Dustin's eyes widened. "How does she know about the Russians?" Steve looked equally confused. "I don't know," he admitted, casting a sideways glance at Robin. Robin gave him a look, crossing her arms over her chest. "Actually, I can hear everything. You are both extremely loud. Excluding Cherry."

Cherry silently thanked Robin with a nod, the boys still exchanging looks of confusion. Robin turned her attention back to them, her tone shifting from annoyance to knowing. "You think you have evil Russians plotting against our country, on tape, and you're trying to translate, but haven't figured out a word because you didn't realize Russians use an entirely different alphabet. Sound about right?" Steve and Dustin exchanged a sheepish look, realizing the oversight in their plan.

They looked at each other with pursed lips as Robin reached for the tape recorder. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Steve asked, raising an eyebrow as Robin leaned closer to the device. "I wanna hear it," She replied nonchalantly. "Why?" Both Steve and Dustin asked simultaneously, suspicion evident in their voices. "Cause, maybe I can help," Robin said confidently, folding her arms. Steve and Dustin exchanged another look, skeptical but intrigued. Robin continued, "I'm fluent in four languages, you know."

She then rattled off a sentence that sounded more or less Russian to their ears, her pronunciation crisp and fluid. Steve's eyes widened. "Holy shit!" Both Dustin and Cherry lit up with excitement at this unexpected news. Robin smirked. "That was Pig Latin, dingus." Steve's smile fell. "Idiot." "But I can speak Spanish, French, and Italian, and I've been in band for 12 years. My ears are little geniuses, trust me," Robin added, her enthusiasm unwavering. Steve hesitated, unsure as he considered Robin's offer. "Uh..."
