"Have fun Kal" Dad said, burying me into a hug, I took a deep dreath, smelling his nice scent of- the scent of home; a scent everyone has differently, that makes you feel safe and sound.
Today was my first day of school, it is my second year in high school, I survived my first year with help from my best friend Addy, and my neighbor, Nia, who is 18, but we're best friends from when i moved here, around the age of 3, and she was around 6.
"Have fun Kalani" Jonathan said, giving me a big hug, Jonathan and I have a huge bond, since my.. secret happened, he's very protective and loves me very much, because he almost lost me once, and he won't let that happen again, awe i love him so much, but he can be such a moron sometimes, god!
"Enjoy your first day Kalani and tell us all about it" Mom said, she gave me a kiss on my cheek, she bent down, "And don't let anyone make your mood bad" she muttered, then gave me another hug.
I went outside, Addy was waiting, texting in her phone, "Hey Adds" I said happily, "Hey Kal" she replied, we started walking towards the high school, "Another year passed, huh." Addy sighed, I nodded, "I hope we're in the same class" I wished, "Yeah, just like every other class we were in until now" Addy continued, we continued walking in silence.
