KNOCKED OUT
"Kid!"
Lucia shot her head up from the counter she was cleaning the dust from. Eda stood by the door, in a more wealthy style than she usually had.
"Woah, Edalyn. Why so fancy this evening?"
She commented with a grin, wiggling her eyebrows up and down."How the hell do you do that with those stupid eyebrows?—you know what..never mind."
Eda groaned and walked over to the counter, "look, just hanging out with an old friend..." Eda started looking at her older teen get excited, and quickly spoke again before she got any questions.
"Could you take care of the restaurant, and clean up the rest?"
"Sure oldie." Lucia lips curled up in a grin.
"Yeah sure I'm old" Eda cackled. "But I'm still as hot as always"
"You're always pretty Eda, now go on now and impress that old friend of yours" Lucia shot a finger gun. Eda saying again in something of the lines of: it's just an old friend, no lover, never going to be. And a thank you for the compliment.
She loved giving compliments, she never lied with compliments.
Lucia continued to clean the restaurant, from the front counter, even the small bell and when she was about to start on one of the tables, the bell rang from the door making her jump.
Didn't they see it stood 'closed' on the board outside?
A woman just barged in the restaurant, and stretched herself, and yawned at the same time as her small cat in her bag did.
"..I'm sorry miss, it's closed." Lucia informed and walked over. The woman's eyes turned to her, and just locking eye contact with each other, sent a lightning bolt through Lucia's heart.
Her eyes were golden?, ears pointy? Green hair?
"..Are you a human?" The woman asked.
"Why did you say it like it's the most disgusting word you've ever said?" Luz inhaled and looked at the woman with a disappointing look.
"Oh, I'm so sorry i didn't mean it that way!" The green haired quickly apologised, getting a warm laugh from the other.
"That's new, but anyways." She pulled out her hand from her pocket, for the green haired to take. "My name is Lucia, and not human.."
Amelia giggled by embarrassment, and accepted Lucia's handshake. Amelia was giving a real human a hand shake. These...humans that her mother warned her about.
How could a human be a horrible monster, when this one was just charming?
"I'm sorry for barging in, I just don't have any place to stay at the moment..." Amelia started but stopped when the human shushed her."Hey, it's alright! Just take a look around, I don't mind getting company" Lucia grinned and turned back to her job.
Amelia nodded and both of them just stood there in silence. A meow was heard from the green haired woman's bag, making Lucia turn her attention back to the woman.
"Kitty?" She gasped and threw her stuff she had in hand and slides closer to Amelia. The white fluffy kitten's head popped out of the room it got to look out of, of the bag.
"His name is Ghost" Amelia grinned, liking the humans excitement.Human's were the opposite of what her mother has told her over the years.
"He's so cute!" The human spoke in a soft voice, as she rubbed the top of the kittens head. Amelia found it interesting, Ghost was attached to her and liked none of her family members', not even her own parents or the twins.
"..he actually just likes me, so, it's shocking to see how soft he is for you." Amelia spoke, making Lucia's attention to turn to her, as the other sat down beside her. Lucia's heart warmed as she looked at the kitten who got up and climbed up, both his paw on each side of her black nirvana t-shirt, hugging her and purring.
"I'm going to cry." Lucia let out a small whimper of how incredibly cute Amelia's cat was, small tears itching her eyes, trying her best not to let them fall.
Amelia took this in and got up, with a determined look on her face, making the brunette look at her with a bit of concern.
"You okay—"
"Hush, you take care of Ghost and i clean" the blight spoke, grabbing the stuff she needed and started before Lucia could resist. But Lucia was Lucia, and resisted anyway,
"No. This is my job. Give me the cloth!" Lucia snarled and was about to rip out the cloth out of the blights hand, but Amelia hid it behind her back.
"Rude? I just want to help you." Amelia smirked as Lucia groaned into her hands.
"Fine...but I need to tell you something.."
"Spit it out Lucia." The green haired stated, still holding a tight grip on the cloth. Of course she wanted to help a woman like Lucia, Amelia wanted to get to know the brunette better.
Lucia leaned against the wall, crossing her arms. "C'mere..."
Just the tone she had made Amelia gulp, but she hesitantly walked over. As she walked closer and closer, and when they were closer again, Lucia placed her foot out making the green haired crash into her, catching the Blight and held eye contact the whole time.
Amelia was literally panicking, and she sweared her ears burned under her massive lion's main.
"I like your hair" Lucia spoke, grinning, and then grasped the cloth out of her hand. Amelia was still blushing like crazy, even after she got out of the position with the taller waitress.
Lucia laughed and gave Amelia her own cloth so she could clean too.
"You're actually interesting.." Amelia blurted out after minutes of silence,
"How so?" The human questioned as they both continued to clean the tables.
"...you're not like anyone else I've met."
"Has no one been nice to you? Caring?, teasing in a good way?"
Amelia thought for a minute, and she couldn't think of one time she had actually been treated good. Other when her siblings only bullied her..but they did it with love.
"Just my siblings, but you're different."
Lucia stopped her movements. She quickly realised how she wasn't so used to compliments either.
"How am I different?"
"My first friend," Amelia spoke without thinking, and froze by shame. She couldn't just out of nowhere call Lucia a friend. They just met.
Lucia walked over with a soft smile.
"Me, Lucia Noceda would be honoured to become your friend."
