"Yes I did. No! Do not put me on hold again-- DAMN IT!"

Gojo sipped his coffee while trying his best not to get in her way. It has been an hour since she tried talking to Isao and she's always put on hold. Then later on the call would eventually fail.

"Did you really see it there though? Maybe it's just another special grade object." He guessed, immediately earning a pissed-off glare from Rin. Now Gojo wished he just remained silent.

"There's just been an attempt on that very room Satoru. Okonogi said so!" Rin kept pacing back and fort. She didn't have much intel aside from okonogi since she was there when the incident happened.

At exactly 10:48 in the evening yesterday, the first division base in Ariake was broken into, more specifically, the classified aids room 304. The one with the red door that Rin saw when she talked to the director general. But to her surprise , nothing was stolen. It was a failed attempt.

"How do you know they're after the cursed object?"

"She said the perpetrator was wearing some kind of Buddhist monk attire? I don't know no one had any record of their face." Rin says in distress while pacing back and forth.

Gojo was still looking at her and she quickly recognized that look in his eyes, he wanted to say something.

But he felt like he shouldn't.

But he really wanted to say it.

Rin was losing her patience. "Just say it Satoru!"

"Alright, alright,." He clears his throat and puts his coffee down on the table.

"I know that they're one of the pillars of the community, and I appreciate their service for the country--

"Spit it out."

"Why are we still playing by their rules?!" Gojo blurts out.

He wanted to say that since Rin was summoned to the headquarters of jakdf but he didn't know if he should because he knows that she had become attached to some people there. He knew Rin doesn't want them to loose their trust on her like that.

"Satoru..."

"You said everything would be settled on Thursday but they kept on stalling and for what? These people don't understand that we have certain rules too. And if the higher ups find out about this, your name is on the line not them. " Gojo exhaled sharply.

Rin lets herself lie on the floor in defeat, making him want to take back his words. He never wanted to admit it in the first place, but he was just worried about her because this mission was assigned to Rin. If anything goes wrong it' ll be her who would take the fall.

"So..." She sighed while sprawled on the wooden floor. "I should just raid the defense force and steal the cursed object myself."

Gojo got off the couch and crawled to lie down next to her. "I really think you should."

Another tired sigh escaped from her lips. "Well there goes my friendship with Mina, I guess."

"If they're your friends they'd understand."

"But-"

"I'm sure he'll understand too." Rin turns her head towards him, it was as if he could read anything that's going on inside her head.

As much as she didn't want to admit it, he was right. And she was letting her personal emotions get in the way of her mission. Rin mentally scolded herself.
