Carol stood before Rick, shock clearly shown on her face.
"What is it, Carol?" He replied, looking concerned for her.
"Rick...Pete's been hitting Jessie."
These words not only shocked, but also angered Rick. He didn't know if it was true, but he wished it wasn't. He couldn't stand to think that she was being hurt...by him.
"I'm going to talk to her. I'm not allowing this to happen. If it really is, i'm putting a stop to it. Right now." He answered, getting up and putting a now sleeping Judith back in her crib.
"Rick, wait." Carol said, trying to stop him, but he was already angry.
Nothing was stopping him.
He was going to protect Jessie.
