Mal stood out the front of the school, Ben stood next to her smiling, the paparazzi being shooed off by Fairy godmother to give Mal a break from the questions
Elias ran out, grabbing her hand "if we don't do a fitting for your gown right now you'll be dancing in your bathrobe, okay?" He said sternly but gently
Ben chuckled gently "Hi" Elias said to him "where's (Name)?" Ben asked noticing the absence of the certain girl who of late had been attached to Elias' hip
Elias smiled "she's upstairs working on the trim....and shes waiting so we really have to go....lets go" Elias grabbed Mals hand pulling her along

In their dorm room Mal stood on a small stand Elias had saved up to get installed. She wore her yellow dress, (Name) sat Infront of the dress hand sewing on the last small decorative bead around bottom of the blue fabric
Elias walked behind Mal zipping up the dress "okay Elias, I cannot breathe" Mal complained, Elias walked around Infront of her being mindful not to trample (Name)
"well you can breathe after Cotillion" He smiled, walking over to the table "I sincerely doubt that.....I have 20 more events behind it and I can't even remember what a single one is" Mal sighed
(Name) nodded her head in understanding, she had been lucky to get out of a lot of princess duty's, she couldn't imagine the shock Mal had gotten
She got the last bead on, tying off the thread "Darling are you done?" Elias asked as she got up off the floor. Elias had began casually calling her that a couple months ago
Originally he had only used it a couple times, she didn't seem to mind the nickname so (much to the delight of Elias) it stuck. "Yep!" She smiled looking at her handy work, she grabbed the bottom adjusting the dress before standing back
Elias went to stand beside her, "impeccable" He kissed his fingers looking at the dress. Mal looked over at her leather jacket, Elias began to check over the dress details
(Name) walked over to the table to begin organizing and cleaning up some of their fabric and tools. "E?" Mal suddenly asked causing Elias to hum
"do you ever think about what we'd be doing if we were back on the isle right now?" She asked, this caused (Name) to also look up but didn't say anything
Elias looked up at her confused before laughing it of "that's funny" He said, the Tv began to play a program causing them to all look towards it "look whos on Tv" Elias smiled
Mal nervously chuckled as Elias helped her off the stand in her dress, Elias and (Name) watched the Tv as Mal went and sat on the bed. She seemed to suddenly remember something in a panic
She quickly went over to the bedside table, opening it and grabbing her magic book out. She muttered a spell under her breath, Elias turned upon hearing Mal speaking, spotting the book
He turned to look back at (Name) who stood over the table from him watching the Tv. He quickly went around the table, grabbing her hand to pull her to the side
"you ok?" She asked "yes....I was just thinking, I'm almost done with Mals dress....do you mind picking us up lunch?" He asked, wanting to get her out so he could talk to Mal but didn't want to kick her out
She nodded "yeah sure, the usual?" She asked, he went to his bag opening it and giving her his blue leather wallet "Elias I have money" She chuckled "I know" Is all he said
"ok....Should I get something for Mal?" She asked as he placed his hands on her shoulders leading her out the door "get her the same as me" He smiled "alright" She smiled leaving the room
He waved out the door to her before turning back into the room closing the door, his smile dropped. "I know Mals secrets of fitting in and Ben wouldn't like it one bit" He said
"haven't you guys had enough secrets?" He said "Elias....you remember what I was like before I started using my spell book, I mean I was a complete disaster" Mal said
"you keep secrets from (Name).....you get her to pick up lunch any time the Isle comes up" Mal said gently "Mal....unlike you and Ben, (Name) and I aren't together and even if we were...the isle subject is completely different, I just don't want her to feel awkward" Elias explained
"and if she saw you using this she'd agree with me that this...." He grabbed the book "Belongs in the museum with my mirror...." He said as Mal pouted
"Don't look at me like that....put the pout away" Elias said, Mal looked away "mmhmm you know I'm right" He said, putting the book on the table
"you don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules?" Mal asked him "like stealing and lying and fighting?" He asked as she smiled "yeah!" "no!" "what?"
Elias chuckled "why would we?" He pulled her up off the bed, "M, come here....look at where we are. we're in Auradon!" He smiled "and we're Auradon kids now" He said
They both watched the Tv who was talking about Mal, Elias smiled as Mal continued to frown "see this is the land of opportunity! we can be whatever we want to be here" He nodded
"So please....lets just leave the past in the past, okay?" He said gently, "Besides....look at the shoes..." He smiled holding them up "look at them" Wanting to be nice Mal gave a small smile
She knew this was the place Elias had to be, he was comfortable here, comfortable with his new sewing opportunities, comfortable with (Name) and she didn't want to ruin that. But she couldn't help looking back over at the jacket again

Later that day when classes where on the Vks (and (name)) walking along the balcony. A bunch of girls called out to Jay causing him to smirk and call back with a smile
Carlos had complained that Jay was leading all these girls on, he then turned to Elias "Look Elias I don't trust Jays judgement If I was to ask a girl out to Cotillian....how would I do it?" He asked
Elias and (Name) smiled "who do you want to ask?" He said "doesn't matter...just" Carlos said looking embarrassed. "Carlos just be yourself.....flowers are simple but make a point" Elias said as Carlos smiled with a nod
Suddenly Jane appeared out of nowhere looking for Mal "hi Jane" Carlos said turning back around "Hey" She smiled "I was wondering...uh...." he looked back at Elias and (Name) panicked
"if you liked the carrot cake last night?" He asked, Jane smiled "I had the pumpkin pie" "oh cool uh-" Jay walked up grabbing his shoulders "smooth" He said pulling Carlos off
(Name) had excused herself from Elias who went to go ask about a dress fitting. (Name) ran down the steps going after Carlos and Jay "Carlos!" She said
Jay and Carlos stop turning to look at her "Jane....she likes the small things....the meaningful stuff" She explained, Carlos smiled widely "thanks (Name)....that helps really"
"great! happy to help" She said "Darling! We have a booking!" Elias called out over the balcony to the girl, she looked back before looking at the boys "duty calls!" She smiled running back to the staircase (struggling in the heels due to the grass)
Jay and Carlos looked at each other "those two are the most lovesick puppies I've ever seen" Jay said "10 bucks Elias asks (Name) to Cotillian" Jay suddenly said
"Thats no fair! I doubt either of them will go with someone else.....fine 10 bucks (Name) asks him" Carlos said "bet" Jay smirked as they shook on it
