Minutes pass within' the room with the jade blade statue and other contestants, Many were just talking to other people as they waited, But Y/n was currently deep in thought.

She couldn't help but remember the day she first realized she was an Elemental Master, It was horrible.

The day was just like every other day.

Y/n was meditating on the rocky cliff, Feeling the wind blow through her hair and gently caress her skin.

Sighing softly, Her eyes fluttered open, watching the sunrise in front of her.

She couldn't help but remember her father and the day he passed, She was only 11 when he passed away, He was gently holding her in his grasp as he lay in bed ill.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry..."

F/n gently moved his daughter's hair out of her face as he gently kissed her forehead, Feeling his vision blur, Oh he didn't want to leave his daughter.

"Y/n can you look at me, Sunshine?"

Young Y/n nodded and looked up at her dad, Tears flowed down her cheeks as she knew what was going on, This made F/n's heart break even more.

"Shhhh, Don't cry..."

Gently, He caressed his daughter's face to wipe away her tears.

"It'll be okay, I promise you.."

At these words, Y/n gripped her father's shirt and cried harder.

"B-But you won't be okay, I want you to be okay Dad!"

F/n frowned, Resting his hand on his daughter's head.

"You want to know something, Y/n?"

They chuckled softly.

"When people like me leave..."

"We go to a beautiful place with the greatest views, And in that place, we can watch the people we love and keep them safe from there."

Y/n's crying quieted, Sniffling.

"Is that where Mom went?"

F/n's pupils shrank at her words, Frowning.

"Y/n..."

Y/n gripped her dad's shirt more.

"I know that's not what happened, B-But I want to believe!"

"I want to believe just like I'll believe that you'll not leave me, Dad!"

F/n couldn't help but tear up at the site of his daughter's pain, He never wanted her to deal with both parents leaving her.

"Y/n...Do you remember what I told you about Grandma?"

Y/n sniffled again and nodded.

"Yeah, That grandma was given a curse and-"

F/n shook his head.

"No, It wasn't a curse, Y/n."

"It was the greatest of Blessings, We were gifted with a great power, But you?"
