Daniella Wright is a simple girl, she likes hockey, shopping, photography, and music.

She had met her best friends on a peewee hockey team called "The Ducks"

Charlie, the one who brought her on the team, Connie, Averman, and Adam.

The team came to an end sadly due to the coach, Gordon Bombay's, aspiring dream to join the NHL.

She one day got word from Charlie that Bombay was back.

And so were the ducks!

Dani gets her skates and joins the rest of her friends.

They all meet up with their coach, who tells them that they will be joined by 5 new players.

The room is silent, until Bombay speaks up.

"So tell me about my new kids."

The kids new sponsor, Mr Tibbles, nods. "That is Luis Mendoza. He's from our Miami club. A real speedster. Incredible skater. I clocked him in at 1.9 seconds, blue line to blue line."

Coach nods in approval.

"Good looking skater." Dani takes an interest in the new boy, which she shows to her friend Connie.

Connie nods at the statement.

"Very good looking. What do you think Guy?" Averman appears behind them, teasing Guy.

"Shut up Averman." Guy says pushing the boy down with an elbow to the stomach.

Connie and Dani share a laugh at the boys pain.

"He has one minor problem.." Mr Tibbles goes on as Luis slams into the wall, proceeding to fall.

"Has a little trouble stopping." The man continues.

"I'd say so." Goldberg laughs.

The rest of the new players rush to help him up. Dani watches as he gets up.

They lock eyes, his full of embarrassment, disappointment, and fright.

Hers filled with, compassion, joy, and laughter.

"I almost had it that time." He shrugs, still looking in Dani's direction.

"He's cute, I'll give him that." She whispers to Connie.

"Who's next?" Bombay speaks.

"Yee-haw! How is everyone? Y'all ready to play some puck?" A voice shouts.

"Hey look it's hopalong Gretzky!" Jesse mocks.

The rest of the kids laugh.
