Butterfly Mansion, Kanae's office, evening
Kanae is currently waiting in her office to get treated by her little sister for any potential injury. She felt some pain in her back, but it was nothing too major. The potential Lower Moon mission is in a few days, though not really a concern since it's just a Lower Moon, the main concern for Kanae is the amount of lives that could've been lost. While Kanae was silently thinking, Shinobu entered into the room
"I got the supplies, Nee-san... I need to treat your back now" Shinobu said as Kanae showed her back
"Okay... nothing too major, but you're going to have to lay down on the bed with your back facing me, I need to put some ointment" Shinobu said as Kanae did exactly what Shinobu asked
When Shinobu applied a bit of pressure, Kanae grunted
"Oh, sorry!" Shinobu apologized
"It's fine..." Kanae assured
When Shinobu finished the ointment, Kanae sat back up
"Thank you" Kanae said
"It's no problem, Nee-san.." Shinobu replied as she left the room
Kanae sighed
(I'm glad I'm... somewhat getting along with the other Hashira...) Kanae thought
"Caw caw!"
Kanae looked to see Giyu's old crow
"Kanzaburo... good evening" Kanae greeted
"Good evening, caw!"
Kanzaburo then saw the drawing nearby
"Is that..."
Kanae then looked to see where Kanzaburo was looking
"Yes..." Kanae responded
Kanzaburo caws sadly
"I hope you can avenge him, caw..."
"I can promise you... I will... and I don't intend on dying..." Kanae stated
"Good, caw..."
"Kanzaburo... can you do something for me? Don't do it tonight, but I'll remind you about it tomorrow..." Kanae asked
"Caw?"
Two days later, sundown
The day after Kanae's treatment, the casualties lessened a little bit, but it was still most likely an Lower Moon. Kanae stepped onto the porch of the Ubuyashiki Mansion outside to see the sun setting down as its rays reflected off the pond. The flowers bloomed, the pond was lively, and the birds were chirping... Kanae sat down
"Nice view, isn't it?" Kanae asked
"Yes Nee-san..." Shinobu replied
"Good evening, my children..." They suddenly heard a voice behind them speak
Kanae and Shinobu turned
"You requested us here, Oyakata-sama..." Shinobu spoke
"How is your health?" Kanae asked
"I'm doing quite alright... thank you for coming here, the both of you..." Ubuyashiki responded
Kanae and Shinobu stayed silent
"The both of you are to head off to Mount Natagumo... and find the demon that has been causing trouble there... the casualties has risen, so it's possibly a Lower Moon... but I can't truly confirm... regardless, I want the two of you to go to that mountain and defeat whatever demon lurks..." Ubuyashiki ordered
