The Tranquility of being young
Wake up,
The morning dew is glistening,
On the blades of grass,
As the sun rises,
I realized,
I am still young.
Each day might bring me closer to what puts me to my end,
Yet in my mind,
I find solace in the memories of my youth
I think about the past everyday,
Where time was a gentle,
Steady friend,
And worries faded way as fast as lightning.
But at the same time,
Problems were harder to overcome,
And fear seemed but always at a distant truth.
I yearn for the
Tranquility of being young,
Where dreams were as vast as the endless sky,
Not knowing what shape of a cloud will come next,
And every moment felt like a sweet,
Soft,
Bonus track,
From a new vinyl,
Always a melody of Happiness,
That has never said goodbye.
So allow me to close my eyes,
Not to play hide and seek,
But to reflect,
And drift away,
To that place,
In the echoes of repeating laughter,
The warm feeling you get from the sun everyday,
Where time stands still in an eternal spell,
To the place where my youth wanders forever and ever,
And to where
The Tranquility of being young
Is kept;
Calm,
Peaceful,
Serene,
And Windless.
