This is the tale of a Knight, who was once a king. He seeks to bring back that title in a Squad Strike tournament, however, he needs to find a team to enter the tournament. And so it begins his adventure to find the team he wants.
A light flashes in the sky, the Warp Star is crashing down with Meta Knight, he is holding onto the star, as he is crashing down to the World of Light. Then he crashes. Luckily, with the Warp Star's landing, he did not suffered a scratch, Meta Knight is now here in the World of Light.

Meta Knight: "Wow. So this is the World of Light? It's so beautiful and... It's hurting my eyes a little bit, it's so bright!"
Then someone approaches Meta Knight, Meta Knight senses this, he turns around with his sword on his hand, and the mysterious individual gets closer to him. Out of the shadow, reveals the one of the bosses of the World of Light: Marx.

Marx: "Hiya, Zorro!"
Meta Knight: "Ah! Marx? What are you doing here?"
M: "I just heard a crashing, when I was bouncing with my ball. So I came here, and it was you!"
MK: "What? You think I was Kirby? I am much different than him, alright."
M: "Oh yes yes yes... I know, you are aware of me being the SAVAGE BEAST that I am. But I am not interested in fighting you, of course."
MK: "Oh. Okay. But don't think of some funny business, you hear me?"
Meta Knight says as he puts away his sword.
Marx: "Oh yes, I won't. Now! Where are you going now?"
Meta Knight: "I was going to find a team member for the tournament. But I don't know where I should start first..."
M: "I know! What about trying to go to that castle!"
MK: "That one, the red one?"
M: "Oh yes. Someone very strong and powerful you might be interested."
MK: "And how should I know that is not a trap?"
M: "Trust me! I've been to that castle all the time! Big B doesn't... Like me..."
MK: "Good. Thanks!"
Meta Knight spread out his wings and flew to the castle, Marx follows Meta Knight to escort him there.
