The DA meetings, the constant effort to keep Regulus hidden, managing Neville's contact with his godmother, and juggling lessons with Harry and Snape—it was all beginning to feel overwhelming.

"Do you want me to read it again?" Regulus asked, noticing Victoria's distant expression as she sat propped against the headboard, with him resting his head on her chest.

Victoria blinked, snapping back to the present. "Sorry. What did you say?"

Regulus sat up, looking at her with concern. He had noticed her lack of sleep and concentration. "You weren't paying attention to the story, were you?"

Victoria shook herself from her thoughts, her focus shifting back to Regulus. "I'm sorry, Regulus. I was just... distracted. Could you read it again?"

Regulus tilted his head slightly, his expression a mix of concern and understanding. "Of course," he said, settling back down beside her. "I was reading you that story about the phoenix and the dragon. Let me start over."

Regulus began again, Victoria closed her eyes, letting the soothing rhythm of his voice help her unwind from the day's stresses. It was a small moment of calm amid the chaos of their lives, and she was grateful for it.

Valentine's Day had arrived in full swing, and Victoria was surrounded by a plethora of sweet gifts and flowers from her students, filling her desk with a cheerful array of colors and scents.

She was just about to leave her office to spend the day with Regulus when Prudence burst in, followed closely by the Weasley twins.

"Hello, children," Victoria greeted them warmly, her smile genuine despite the growing exhaustion.

"Hi, Ms. Blake," Prudence said with a smirk. Now that she knew Victoria's true identity, she couldn't resist a bit of teasing.

Fred stepped forward, holding out a small bouquet of handpicked flowers. "These are for you," he said, his grin infectious.

Victoria's eyes widened in surprise and gratitude. "Oh, Fred, that's very kind of you. Thank you!" She accepted the flowers, her smile broadening as she placed them in a nearby vase.

Behind Fred, George and Prudence exchanged amused glances and barely suppressed giggles.

"Are you three heading to Hogsmeade?" Victoria asked, looking at them with curiosity.

"Not much else to do," Prudence rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in mock exasperation. George, ever the charmer, casually wrapped an arm around her shoulder, causing her stern expression to soften.

"Yeah, with Quidditch off the table and practice sessions canceled, we're off to Hogsmeade," George explained, his tone lighthearted.

Victoria nodded sympathetically. "I see. So it's just the three of you then?"
