"-you cunt-sucking pieces of shit! Welcome to our fucking Fight Club!" Cristina heard PJ yell as she walked into the gym, seeing a small group of girls sitting in front of her.

PJ halted, turning her head to see the cheerleader, and laughed awkwardly. "Cristina, hey, hi, welcome," she said, her demeanor completely changing.

"You look nice. I like your skirt. It's very..." PJ made a circular movement with her hand over Cristina's frame. "Short," she finished.

"Thanks, I guess," Cristina replied.

"Yeah, no, it really shows off your legs. Your legs are nice... they're very... leggy," Josie agreed awkwardly.

Cristina nodded slowly with a polite smile, wanting to change the subject.

"So, uh, by any chance is Brittany coming as well?" PJ asked, turning to Josie, who nodded.

"Yeah, or Isabel. Maybe Isabel was planning to stop by," Josie said, attempting to be nonchalant.

"Nope, just me," Cristina replied.

"Oh," Hazel said, almost sounding bummed.

"Well, it's great to have you here," Josie said, lightly shoving PJ's shoulder.

"Uh-huh. So, Hazel said this was a self-defense club?" Cristina asked, glancing at Hazel before turning back to PJ.

"Uh, yeah. Yes, yes it is. Please have a seat," PJ said, motioning to the group in front of her. Cristina sat down next to Hazel, the two smiling at each other, with Hazel lifting her hand to give her a small wave. God, can she get any more adorable, Cristina thought.

PJ cleared her throat, continuing on. "So, as we know, Huntington is on the prowl, and they're picking on the weak and defenseless, meaning all of you. So we're gonna teach you how to not take shit," PJ explained.

"We're gonna start with drop kicks, tackling, a little bit of knife play. Then punch-bucket, which is when we throw you in a bucket and we punch you until you bleed," she finished aggressively.

"Before that, perhaps stretches, ice breakers, and trust falls," Josie suggested next to PJ.

"Is that what happened to you in Juvie?" Sylvia asked.

"No, no," the two girls said simultaneously.

"Juvie was way crazier. One time, this girl's punching me in the rain. I fall to my knees. It's muddy. I get up. I'm blind. Punch her right in the middle of her face, break her fuckin' nose," PJ finished. Cristina raised her brow at PJ.

"Josie, care to share?" PJ asked. Josie shook her head while PJ stared at her expectantly. Josie sighed.

"Yeah, alright. Juvie was insane," she started, glaring at PJ, which didn't go unnoticed by Cristina. "Once a girl tried to kill me with rat poison, so I took her outside and punched her till she died," Josie finished.

"They let you out after killing a girl?" Cristina questioned.

"Uh, no. Because the ambulance came and revived her, and we actually had a really productive conversation when she came back to life, so..." Cristina nodded slowly before scrunching her brows.

"Sorry, what did you go to juvie for again?" Cristina asked, looking up at the two girls.

"Uh, well... PJ," Josie said, turning to her friend.

"Me, yeah, okay.... well, Cristina, I am not at liberty to divulge that informati-" she began before getting cut off by Cristina.

"Now that I think about it, when were you even at juvie? 'Cause I saw PJ on the last day of school last year, and you were at the fair. So, like, did you only go for our school district's exact allotted summer break?" she questioned, scrunching her brows in confusion.
