It's been exactly 604 days since I've seen Billie and I'm now a junior in high school and I have to admit I've never been so happy. I've definitely never studied so much in my life but it was worth it, I also joined the soccer team and me, Lia and Sofia definitely gotten so much closer. Most days I hardly think about Billie. Sure there's times where I have dreams about her. Life really has been good I even get along with Drew. Kinda. But now I'm getting ready for the Billie's concert. I'm feeling a wave of nostalgia I didn't expect. Lia and Sofia and their laughs sound like background noise while I'm getting ready.
"Y/n!" Lia says
"Sorry yeah" I say snapping back to reality
"Should I wear this dress or does it make me look washed out" Lia says showing me a similar dress from before
"To be honest it looks like the same dress you showed me before" I say applying my lip gloss
"Guys hurry we don't have a lot of time" Sofia says eagerly
" I promise Billie isn't going anywhere" Zoe says causing me to laugh
"I know but I don't wanna miss any moment of the concert" Sofia says putting on her shoes
I sat in the backseat of Lias car, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nerves. We were on our way to Billie's concert, a night I had been anticipating for months. Lia, Sofia and Zoe are going on about their favorite songs on 'WHERE DO WE GO WHEN WE FALL ALSEEP'
"Guys 'burry a friend' music video was scary asf" Sofia says
"I know 'I love you' is my all time favorite" Lia mentions
"Yessssss" Zoe agrees
"What about you Y/n" Sofia asks and everyone's attention is on me
"Uh I have only listened to her EP" I say Sofia's chaw almost on the ground
"She listens to frank ocean and shi" Lia says changing the conversation
"Sounds like something y/n, your always day dreaming" Sofia says giving looking over at me
As we get closer to the venue, the city lights reflecting off the car windows seem to blur. We finally arrive at the venue. I clutch my ticket approaching the entrance. The bodyguard scanning the ticket and handing us wrist bands. We step inside, and the atmosphere changed. The buzz of the crowd and the little chatter.
"I can't believe this" Lia says
"These seats suck" Sofia says
"For real" Zoe says
The seats were terrible, and I could barely see anything. We were so far in the back that Billie looked like a tiny blurry figure, but still I could tell she looked different, but it wasn't clear. Despite the awful view, I could hear the music perfectly her voice took me back to two years ago when she sung me 'Copycat'.
"Guys I forgot to tell you I got backstage tickets" Sofia tries to yell over the music
I froze a little not knowing how to react about it.
