"Chameleon, lykirī. " Aeirwen commanded her dragon. It was very evident that he was restless. The girl was trying to lead him into the forest, but the dragon refused to enter. "'Leon, dohaeris!" Aeirwen commanded with annoyance. Her dragon lowered his head and pushed her over, so she fell onto the grass. He seemed to laugh at his rider. "Unbelievable." She muttered to herself.
The dragon roared playfully and finally after long minutes of begging him, entered the woods. Aeirwen told him to lay down as she herself pulled out blankets Rhaenyra had provided her with. The dragon curled his body around the girl as she went to sleep. What else was there to do?
But when Aeirwen woke up a couple hours later, the forest seemed...different. Her dragon was snoring next to her, but she felt anything but comfortable and safe. A scream tore through the forest, making her whip her head in its direction, but of course, it was hidden behind her Chameleon. Her dragon's eye opened as he heard it too. He huffed, smoke coming out of his nostrils.
Aeirwen packed the blankets quickly and noticed how dark the forest was, when it couldn't have been past noon. She put on her warmer coat and motioned for her dragon to stand up. She wanted to go back. The forest creeped her out. She needed to leave this place and feel the Sun on her skin. 'Leon and Aeirwen raised themselves and started to make their way from where they came from, but it seemed that they couldn't reach it. When they entered the forest they had stopped immediately, but the way back seemed long... A branch cracked somewhere. The girl reached for the knife as her dragon's head swinged right. Something was running in her direction.
It looked like a woman. She had long black hair, dressed in rags and she started screaming when Aeirwen saw her. But... It was not a woman. Its mouth hung wide open, its arms stretched longer than human's. It was taller than a normal person. It ran exactly at her.
"Dracarys!" She shouted at Chameleon, who wasted no time in abiding her command. The thing fell to the floor, but despite the flames, whatever was left of it- moved. Crawled in her direction, until Leon opened its mouth and swallowed the thing in two bites. "What in the Seven Hells!?" Her eyes were opened widely, her voice betrayed how terrified she truly was. That was not something that Cole had prepared her for.
Aeirwen leaned on a tree behind her, breathing in deeply. Her dragon tilted his head and looked at her as if he was as confused as her. "īlon jorrāelagon naejot jikagon." (we need to go.)
Another scream tore through the forest, making her start to run. It did not work. She looked up, but the trees grew to close, she could not hop onto her dragon and fly out. It would hurt him too badly. The end of the forest, the entrance leading to the meadow where she met with Daemon and Rhaenyra seemed farther away the closer she got to it.
