¦ Chapter 12 ¦

Ladybug swinged across the city trying to find Adrien. But no matter how hard she looked, he was no where in sight. Just as she was passing by the Eiffel Tower, she saw Chat noir, sitting on top of a building just in front of the famous monument. And to her surprise, he seemed to be crying. Ladybug was looking for Adrien, but of course, she was also worried for chat noir. She decided that it won't hurt to ask if he's ok, right?
So she landed on the roof he was on and slowly approached him, before patting on his shoulder to get his attention. After instantly turning around to see her, chat noir wipes his tears and tries to put on a smile on his face.
"M'lady, didn't know you were planning to visit."
Ladybug sat down next to him, while he still looked down.
"Chat.. Is everything alright?"
"Of course. Everything's.. Perfect."
Chat noir tried his best not to cry, but failed miserably.
"Chat.."
"I don't know.. I just feel, lied to this whole time. Like.. I was betrayed and I have no one now. No.. One."
Ladybug wasn't the best when it came to comforting people. So the best thing she could offer was a hug. She immediately clutched onto his arm and pulled him in for a hug and almost instantly, chat noir burst out. She patted his back, repeating that it's gonna be ok. Even if she knew it wouldn't be ok, she had to assure chat noir that things would work out no matter what.

Ladybug pov:
1 hour, chat was still a crying mess. He couldn't see things straight and it was clear he was deeply hurt. Poor chat.. I didn't want to leave him alone, but I still had to look for Adrien.
"Chat.."
"Hmm"
"I.. Don't want to leave you alone right now but, I promised Mrs. Agreste to look for her son. He suddenly went missing at their house. So I have to.. Go."
He suddenly froze.
"Oh? That's q-quite fine.. Don't worry about me m'lady."
"You sure chaton? You can tag along if you want.."
"No, I'm fine. I'll be alright bugaboo. Plus, it's almost night. I should go sleep, right?"
"Your right.. Take a good rest. And if you ever feel down, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll get to you as soon as. Ok?"
He nodded before we bid our goodbyes and he took off. After he left, I took off as well for one last search hoping to either find him or find out that he's already back. Another 5 minute search and still he was no where. I decided to head back to his house to let his mother know. Before going inside, I De-transformed right outside. To my surprise, he was already there.
"Marinette..you see, Adrien just came back."
I approached him and gave him a hug. "Adrien.. I'm so glad your alright. I was so worried. What happened?"
When I looked at his face, he seemed to be quite sad.
"Nothing much Mari.. Just tired."
I let go of him.
"Adrien you should head to sleep now.. It's 9pm."
"Yes mother.."
And he took off.
"Marinette, I'm really sorry for wasting so much of your time. But I'm also very thankful that you helped. You really do care for him don't you?"
I nodded.
"Well.. It is almost too late. I suggest you head back and get some sleep. And, your very welcome to visit tomorrow is you wish."
"Thank you Mrs agreste." I bowed down slightly before leaving.
