"How many men have you encountered in your life? First, I hear about this Dominic guy, and now the photographer," Clayton remarked.

I rolled my eyes at Clayton before replying to his comment. "You act like I can't have male friends besides you and Tyler."

"Because you can't find a good duo of funny male friends. Also, what is Dominic to you?" He stated.

"I wouldn't consider him a friend or anything else," I told him.

"So what is Kai then?" Scarlett said, who was looking at her phone but decided to jump into the conversation.

I know what she is trying to do and it will not work.

"Just a friend that's all," I said.

"Huh, yeah, is it a friend or just a crush?" she asked.

Ignoring her, I reached for the water bottle I had set on the table, unscrewed the cap, and took a sip.

"Speaking of someone, look who texted back," Clayton said, holding my phone. I wondered when he had taken it, then remembered I had thrown it at him earlier because of a stupid joke he made.

"Clayton, give me my phone!" I exclaimed.

"No, not until I read the message," Clayton said, a smirk playing on his face.

"What was it he said?" inquired Scarlett.

"He asked our beautiful friend to the movies," he said while typing something.

I wonder what he's typing now, and I hope it's not something embarrassing about me.  I will kill him well not literally but you know what I meant.....

"Keep thinking however you want, but it is not a date," I said.

"Some of your texts are flirtatious, but the crazy thing is that you two don't realize you're flirting with each other, and it's so funny to me," Clayton said.

I asked, "What did you text him?"

"Relax, I didn't text him anything bad; all I did was let him know that you would meet him there," Clayton told me. "But I am starting to agree with Scarlett that you have a crush on this guy."

I rolled my eyes at him. "I don't have a crush on him," I insisted.

"Keep telling yourself that," he said with a chuckle.

He returned my phone just as a new text message appeared. I anticipated it would be from Kai, but it was Isla informing me of six photoshoots scheduled for tomorrow at various times, reminding me to get plenty of beauty sleep and rise early. I left her message unread and proceeded to open the text from Kai.

Kai: Hey, there's a new movie coming out in theaters this Saturday called 'Hallow House,' and I've heard it's quite scary. I was wondering if you'd like to come and see it with me?

Me: Sure, I would like to come and watch it with you.

Kai: Great, can't wait to see you there! :)

As I read the text he sent, I could feel my cheeks redden, and I knew Clayton and Scarlett noticed because they began teasing me about it.

"Look, Gabby is blushing," Scarlett said with a tease.

I groaned and rolled my eyes at both of them. "Please, just stop, guys."

Additionally, I wonder if I truly have a crush on Kai because I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I'm around him, but honestly, there's no way I have a crush on him, right?
