"You're are too sweet!" I giggled. Adonis smiled at me. I couldn't place the look in his eyes as he gazed at me. I don't think I've ever seen it before. Oh well.
I opened my mouth again, and placed the tip of it in. I swirled my tongue around it, feeling the white cream case my tongue. I let out a small moan.
"How did you make this? This is the best icing I've ever had! What's it for?" I asked him. Adonis Tok the spoon from my hand and placed in on the counter. He pushed my legs open and settled between them. I blushed.
"Your birthday? Seventeen, darling? Did you forget?" He asked me. I watched as his hand reached out and dwindled my hair between his forefinger and thumb.
"My... birthday?" I asked him. That was... oh. A week ago. My birthday was exactly two weeks ago. How could I have forgotten? I turned seventeen, the legal adult age for a werewolf... even if I was half human.
Adonis cocked his head at me and looked me with concern. "Yes... it was a week ago, darling." A smile lit up his face and... dimples. How had I never noticed that he had dimples. My hand reached on it's own accord and brushed his cheek.
Adonis stared at me with the same look in his eyes. His face lost his partially stone cold face and his mouth parted slightly. I watched as his eyes dropped to my mouth before slowly dragging them back up, a little hesitantly might I add. His hands gripped my waist tighter and pulled me flush against him
Something hard poked into me. I wiggled uncomfortably. Adonis hissed into my ear as if something bothered him. HIs hands dug harder into my hip.
"I'm s-sorry...?" I said slowly. "Did... d-did I hurt you?"
Adonis looked up to the ceiling, a cursed the Moon Goddess. "You didn't do anything darling," he grunted out.
"But you l-look like you're hurting?"
"Fuck, that's the last thing I'm feeling."
Adonis took as step back as he took what seemed to be a calming breath. I wonder what he's saying to his wolf?
"Do you want to go swimming?" He asked suddenly.
"R-really?"
"Yes." His lips curled in a smile. "And we're going to this really pretty lake. I think you'll like it. I mean, if you want to go, of course."
"Yes!" I squealed. A random thought came to my mind. "A-Adonis, how old are you?"
He shook his head, a large, dimpled grin plastered on his face. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I raised an eyebrow at him and squinted accusingly.
"Yes I will. Y-you told me that every thing you say t-to me is the truth," I said.
"I'm nineteen," he admitted with a shrug.
"Whaaaaaaaaat? You're a l-lot younger than I thought you w-were," I told him. "Wait.. t-then how old is y-your father?"
"He's 41," said Adonis.
"Then w-why isn't he still A-Alpha King?" It was traditional for an Alpha to stay the King until he/she turned sixty. Usually, the title was only passed down before sixty if the Alpha died. And that almost never happens, or so people say.
"Can I tell you a secret darling?" Adonis walks in-between my legs again and pulls me flush against his chest. Our noses brushed and our breathing mingled together.
"Y-yes."
"My father doesn't have any Alpha blood. In fact, he's a born Beta. My mother is the true Alpha. They didn't want anyone to find out, so they passed the title down to me early."
"Why w-wasn't she named Alpha Q-Queen?"
"She never wanted it." Adonis shrugs is shoulders. "Alright, darling. You wanna come get ready with me?" I started to nod, but then his eyes widen in shock. "How old did you think I was?"
I giggled. "I-in your twenties."
"Younger, mid, older?"
"Twenty e-eight."
"Goddess, Harper. That's horrible. For your information, I turned nineteen two months ago."

I had no clue where we were going. Adonis was taking me somewhere special he said, but I couldn't help but think of the time Mrs. Cox took me out into the woods behind their house with a shovel.
I was eight, I think, I had just finished cooking and doing the dishes for them when Mrs. Cox gripped me by my tiny, frail shoulder and dragged me out of the house. She was completely drunk, slurring her words and stumbling every where, yet her firm grip on me was steel. No matter how much I tried to get out of her grip, I couldn't.
She dragged me into the woods with a shovel. I don't remember anything after that. I just know that it was probably traumatic.
I shivered in my seat.
"Are you okay, darling?" Adonis asked his hand gently pressed itself onto my knee, his eyes asking for permission to do this. I nodded.
"I-I'm okay."
His hand slid up higher on my thigh, and something warm pooled in belly. I blushed. He tightened his grip on my thigh. I glanced Adonis. He looked like he was desperately trying not to breathe.
A sudden thought occurred to me. Goddess, how could I forget? I don't know how to swim. I never learned how to swim. Mrs. Cox never let me. She said it would... reveal too many scars and people would be suspicious.
"We're almost there."
"I d-don't know how to swim!" I blurted. Tears welled up in my eyes. Stupid, stupid, stupid, I cursed myself.
"Hey," Adonis whispered comfortingly. I didn't look at him. I watched the scenery as we pulled into a parking area. "You don't have to be ashamed for not knowing how to swim. Lot's of people don't, darling. Wanna know another secret?"
I nodded weakly.
"I didn't learn how to swim until I was eleven. I was scared of water."
My eyes full of unshed tears, I glance up at him. His finger catches my chin. Surprise fills my face. Our noses are almost touching, his breathing hot against my lips.
I clear my throat, bringing him out of his trance. Cracker-jacks, why did I do that? I liked the way he was looking at me. I licked my lips in... disappointment? Oh. My. Goddess. Was he about to kiss me?!
He popped open the door and came around to my side, opening for me. "Who knew the Alpha K-King could be a g-gentleman," I joked.
"Only for you," he winked. I playfully raised a brow at him. Was I flirting? His face hardened. "I'm not gonna lie, darling, I have been with other woman. I never.... had real feelings for them. I wasn't exactly a gentleman to them either."
Hearing that Adonis has been with other woman made me slightly jealous. But I know that he has had a life before me, and that includes being with other girls. I mean, I dated a boy in second grade.
"That's o-okay," I said. I gave him my best smile and I could've sworn his face melted.
"I'll teach you how to swim, and if you don't want to learn, I'll hold you in my arms in the water. And if you don't want to be in the water, we can hang out by the shore," he said. He lifted me up and reached into the back of the truck, pulling out a swim bag.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and nuzzled my head closer. "Will you t-teach me a little and then... just h-hold me?"
"Of course ba- darling," he said.
Was I being too clingy? I definitely was. He was going to reject me after a while. Am I being overdramatic? Maybe he like the clingyness. Or not. I've seen him with other people. He hates it when they touch him.
Then why is he always the one to touch you? My conscious asked. I think I'm gonna name my conscious Jiminy Cricket.
