"What do you mean THE Kim Hongjoong is here? At the station? How? Why?" Wooyoung paced around in his small office while Yunho, his co-worker, sat fairly calmy in his chair.

"Calm down a bit, yeah? As for now, we have nothing on him to make an arrest, even though we all know about the crimes linked to him. He said he will only talk to you and no one else."

That made Wooyoung stop in his tracks.

"Why me?"

It was Yunho's turn to get up and pace around the room aimlessly. "If you ask for my professional opinion, it's because you're the best officer here and he probably wants to make a good deal for himself. Some of us here would just send him to jail without even a question if they have a warrant, but you'd listen to his story first as you always do. As your friend though... I'm not sure. He seems a little... off, maybe? I don't like it one bit if I'm honest."

"And what the fuck am I supposed to do? Interrogate him or what?"

Yunho stopped in front of Wooyoung and grabbed onto his shoulders with both hands. "Wooyoung. I love you, you're literally the best partner I've ever got here, but please use your brain? While I may be a decent officer, I don't know half the shit you do, so don't ask me for advice because I don't know what the fuck am I doing most of the time. You're the officer everyone aims to be, you got promoted so fast because you're fucking great so get your ass out there and do what you do best."

Wooyoung's shoulders tensed for a moment before they slumped just a tiny bit. His face contorted into a concentrated expression that he always wore when he was in his work-mode. It fascinated Yunho every time he saw his now friend turn into a professional in seconds, but it was required for their job. They couldn't act on emotions, they needed to be level headed at all times and do their best.

"Okay... but if anything goes wrong, I'm counting on you."

"Don't worry about that."

Kim Hongjoong was sipping on his coffee that he got from the machine just down the hallway. It was even worse than initially he thought, but what could he expect? The police didn't have the resources to get delicious coffee like him. In fact, even if they did, it would still be bad quality anyway, so why bother? You see, Hongjoong had expected the police station to be in a frenzy because he showed up, unannounced, but instead, he was sent into a room to wait in alone. He could've brought some of his men to accompany him, but he thought it would've been a little too much and intimidating.

It wasn't like anyone at the station had a single thing on him anyway, he could easily just walk out without saying anything, however, the one thing Hongjoong had wanted just happened to be in the building, therefore he waited patiently, all alone.

He checked his watch more times than necessary until the door opened and revealed his long awaited prize. The officer stepped in without a word and closed the door after signaling to the two guards to stay out of the room.

He sat down right in front of Hongjoong, and he had to admit, the boy was even prettier up-close.

"I'm officer Jung Wooyoung, and they told me you will only talk to me here. So... what brings you here, Kim Hongjoong?" There it was. Such a simple question, yet Hongjoong wanted to do anything but answer.

"I assume you have some questions for me?" his lips pulled into a smile, but it was rather unsettling to Wooyoung. "Of course, I'll answer each one of them to the best of my ability, and truthfully, you don't have to worry."

Wooyoung didn't like the tone. It was fairly unusual for a criminal like Hongjoong to turn themselves in without notice and that sent Wooyoung to the edge. "First of all, why should I be worried? You're on my playground, you don't have anyone with you, it seems. Why did you come here all alone? What deal are you trying to make out of this?" Wooyoung shot his questions without much thought.
