Bariha walked towards the console table, lifted the papers and after reading them thoroughly signed them, almost throwing them back to the table with contempt she felt towards herself in that instant.

Haim stood patiently watching her every move.

Unknown to Bariha he hid a smile under his hand covering his face partially.

Oh how the mighty have fallen!

The way he watched Bariha was nerve wrecking. A sweeping glance from head to toe as if he could see every inch of her body, even fully covered.

"Can I go home now?" Bariha asked with no expressions on her face. Not rising to his challenging gaze.

Haim lifted an eyebrow.

"You need my permission?" He asked smirking and Bariha's blood boiled at his nonchalatness.

"Or you're expecting to stay here tonight?" Haim winked coming close towards her.

Bariha's eyes widened upon his playful tone and she took a step back involuntarily.

"Stop right there.." She said in a firm voice and raised a hand which trembled slightly.

Haim's eyes went towards her slighlty trembling cold hand. He gripped it in his warm palms and tugged her towards him.

Bariha fell onto him with a yelp in a state of shock.

Her heart started beating wildly in her chest. Her mouth felt parched, she couldn't remove her gaze from his eyes.

His cologne surrounded her senses and kept her captive.

Haim raised a hand towards her face. He traced the outline of her face. He touched every feature of her face with the back of her hand.

Almost feather like touch captivated Bariha's entire being.

She felt lightheaded.

When his thumb caressed her lips thorughly, Bariha coudn't take it anymore.

She raised her hand when Haim snapped out of whatever trance he was in.

The agony in his eyes from a moment before, completely wiped out.

Haim steadied her and snaked a hand through her waist walking them towards the exit of the farmhouse. He refused to see her heaving chest or the beads of sweet on her forehead, illuminated like pearls.

His face bare of any emotion, a mask falling on it.

No words were exchanged as the guards took their position and Khawar managed everything giving instructions to which car is to be taken and who is to be left behind.

Haim made her sit carefully into the passenger seat. Almost as if he cared. He gestured to the car behind him to go forward and climbed into the driving seat.

No words were exchanged between them, an uneasy silence stretched in the SUV. Soon after Bariha noticed the gate to her house and was about to open the door when a hand covered hers.

Haim gestured her to stay put and they waited patiently as the house was sweeped, guards were posted, a car left to patrol the outside of kothi.

Bariha wanted to roll her eyes. All this for what? For show she thought.

As soon as Khawar gave him a nod, he turned towards her.

"From tomorrow as soon as these documents are filed. You can take charge at the company. We can announce our marriage or you can delay it. As for living here? that's non-negotiable. You either choose Jilani Residence or the farmhouse. Inform your mother, pack your essentials. It starts tomorrow." He said but she didn't throw him a glance.
