As usual, parties at Tommy's were loud. However, with school out for the summer, it was louder than before. In the living room, people were dancing, some even standing on top of counters and tables, showing off the latest moves they learned from MTV. In the kitchen, someone even served as a bartender for the sad excuse of a bar.

"Billy!" Tommy stumbled over to Billy and slurred, "Some kid's about to beat your keg stand record."

Billy arched a brow. "Has Harrington finally found the balls—"

"GO DARCY!" Whoops and cheers followed, drowning out Billy's thoughts. Billy pushed his way past his classmates until he reached the back patio, where the girl from the pool was about to finish her keg—and beat his record.

The girl from the pool— or Darcy—as everyone was currently chanting, was in a handstand over her keg, drinking every last drop. Once she was finished, she set herself back down on her feet, wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her jean jacket, and cheered loudly with everyone else. If she was drunk, she sure didn't show it. She was steady on her feet and was even walking in a straight line towards the drinks table to grab a cup of water. Billy took his chance, leaning against the drinks table.

"Darcy, the Keg Queen." Despite his smirk, there was an undertone of envy and even surprise in his voice. How in the world did this girl, who he had a good six inches on, beat his record? She was even doing a handstand over the keg for crying out loud!

Darcy turned to him with a Cheshire grin. "Pool boy! Glad you could make it." Before Darcy could say anything else, a group of people hoisted her up on their shoulders, chanting her name and crowd surfing her into the heart of the party. And just like that, Billy's keg stand record and popularity surfed with her.
