"When we let you lot go first, that didn't mean walk three miles ahead." Ron huffed as he jogged up to harry and y/n, out of breath. Hermione followed behind, smart enough to walk.

"Finish your dinner within 20 minutes, and then you can talk." Harry retorted.

Y/n raised an eyebrow. "How little do you eat if you're done within 20 minutes?"

"I eat enough to slay giant snakes, if that's any form of measurement." He said, and y/n scoffed jokingly.

As they continued walking to the black lake, hermione spoke. "Harry, what was it you were going to tell us?"

"Right, that." Harry shoved his hands in his pants pockets. "I had a dream, about Voldemort. He was angry at Wormtail, and some other man- he came over to Voldemort's side. I don't know who it was, but I feel like something bad is happening."

"Something bad is always happening here, especially to you, harry." Ron tried to assure him. "Remember at the end of the day that you're just dreaming."

"That doesn't mean we shouldn't be worried." Hermione argued as they walked down the steps to the lake.

Ron shrugged. "You get what I mean though, don't you? Harry, I am concerned but it's not like we have any power here. There'll be extra ministry protection at hogwarts this year, and we won't be left to fight whatever it is this time."

Y/n couldn't help but hum in agreement. "I know I don't have any say in this, but don't let it crowd your head." She looked at Harry, trying to comfort him. He nodded.

"I just thought you guys should know."

Ron clapped him on the back. "What ever it is, we'll all be here for you."

"And I'm glad for it." Harry said, taking a seat at the edge of the water next to everyone else.

Just then, a rumbling came from the lake. They all turned to look at it, y/n leaning closer in anticipation. Suddenly, tentacles shot out from the water, creating a large splash. They flailed around, and y/n screamed in delight.

"They weren't lying!" She exclaimed, staring in awe at how big the tentacles were. The giant squid cried out before the tentacles sunk back into the water.

Hermione laughed at her friend, shaking her head. "He must like you, y/n."

"I don't blame him." She said, smiling, before lying back, looking at the sky. Her friends joined her, and they stayed still, enjoying the peace of an early September in the Scottish highlands.

Soon, the sun started to set, and the quartet decided it was best to get back to the common room before it was completely gone from the sky.

They walked back into the school, and were going through the transfiguration courtyard when an irritatingly confident voice stopped them.

"Oh! And here they are. Potter, Weasley, Granger, and their new addition." A blonde boy strolled up to them from the water fountain, his two friends following behind.

He stood in front of y/n, a sly grin on his face. "The new fourth year. And what was your name again?"

"Leave her alone, Malfoy." Ron sneered.

Y/n raised an eyebrow, but decided to greet him with the same amount of manners as everyone else had greeted her with. She stuck out her hand for him to shake. "Y/n grey."

"Blood status?" He said, looking her up and down, as if he would be able to tell from her appearance.

"Pure as the driven snow, nothing less would be acceptable." She said, confidence apparent in her tone.

Harry couldn't believe what he was seeing. He thought he knew y/n and her views, but clearly he was wrong. Here she was, expressing how she felt about half-bloods and muggleborns. He felt betrayed, and clearly Ron and hermione felt the same, if he could tell anything by the look on their faces.

"Y/n? Are you serious?" Said Hermione..

"Glad to see Potter's finally got some common sense befriending someone like you. Now, if only he removed the mudblood in place..." he tutted.

Y/n laughed heartily at his comment, and the blonde raised his eyebrows, impressed harry had befriended someone like this.

"Silly of me not to introduce myself. I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy." He stretched out his hand, just as many other people had done for y/n in the past 24 hours.

Y/n took it, and Draco chuckled, clearly happy he succeeded in stealing a pure blood from the friend group. "I'm honestly surprised-"

Instead of simply shaking Draco's hand, y/n clutched it tight and started to twist in the wrong direction. He let out a cry of pain, but y/n didn't stop.

Harry stared in shock, not believing his eyes once again. Ron barked out a laugh. "Had it coming, Malfoy!" He yelled.

Seeing she wasn't going to let go any time soon, hermione rushed forward, grabbing y/n's hand. "Y/n, you have to let go!"

Y/n finally released his hand, and Draco stumbled back. "Don't ever express those beliefs in front of me again, Draco." She snapped.

Draco nodded, clutching his arm, before running away with his two cronies. Y/n watched him leave, feeling on top of the world. She turned back to her friends, seeing them all staring at her in shock.

"What in Merlin's left kneecap just happened?" Ron questioned.

Y/n shrugged her shoulders. "He deserved it. You guys didn't actually think I believed in any of that garbage, did you?"

"I don't know, you had me going there for a minute." Harry admitted.

Y/n smiled. "Maybe I should get into acting." She started walking towards the nearest door to the inside of hogwarts. "Are you guys coming back to the common room, or what?"

"It's the other way."

"I knew that."
