Harry pov

I look at the man in disbelief. I obviously understood what he was trying to say, and it also explained why he had come to see me.

But he could be lying about it. His oath only makes it so that he can't hurt me. He can lie. He smiled at me, seeing that I didn't really believe him.

His hand entered one of his pockets, and he took out a parchment. He folds it open and places it in front of me. On top of the parchment, I can see the words 'inheritance test'.

Alaric smiled at me. "As you can see, is this an inheritance test. Drop 3 drips of blood on it, and it will tell you everything you have to know. It will tell you about the soulmates I told you about, but also about your magical guardian and your financial status."

I nodded. It was a good idea. I could see the test was real, I saw a stamp of a bank on it. Alaric placed a small knife on the table, and I took it.

I made a small cut and allowed 3 drips of blood to fall on the parchment. The wound closed again after that. I placed the knife back on the table, and Alaric placed it back in his pockets.

I looked at the test and saw that there now was lots of text on the parchment. I looked at Alaric, but he just nodded to me. I took the test and started reading it.

I didn't know what to think about what I had just learned. I knew that Ron, Hermoine, and Ginny had been acting weird the last few days of the year.

But I had not expected this. I felt stupid for really believing that they were my friends. But I also felt bad because I wasn't really surprised either.

I wasn't really surprised about Dumbeldore either. I never really truster or liked the man, although I always let people think I did.

Then, I looked back at the top of the test. Towards the section of my soulmates. I hadn't believed Alaric, but now I did.

I found myself excited at the idea of having soulmates. It was, of course, a shock that there was more than one, but I didn't mind. I found myself actually looking forward to meeting them.
