The next day Sophie found herself in Keefe's dorm reading one of her favorite books aloud while laying on Keefe's bare chest. She had come over at 9 in the morning for no particular reason but to spend time with Keefe. He had been asleep, currently he had his eyes closed while he fiddled with her hair. He was still in his blue plad pajamas and she was in a navy blue sweatshirt with wide leg navy blue sweatpants.

After a while she asked him, "Keefe, aren't you bored just sitting here listening to me read?"

He chuckled, his chest rumbling gently beneath her. "Not at all," he said, his eyes still closed. "I could listen to you read the phonebook and be content."

Sophie looked up at him, her heart swelling with affection. She knew Keefe had a way with words, but she never expected to hear something so sweet from him. "Really?" she asked, a smile playing on her lips.

Keefe's eyes stayed shut, and he sleepily murmured. "Sophie the way your voice sounds when you read, is so happy and pure. I think If I could only listen to one sound for the rest of my life it would be you reading" he said, his voice earnest.

" It's funny, you have no idea just how much I love you." she said leaning over to look at him.

He opened his eyes and looked at her with a sleepy smile and his eyes full of admiration, "I think it may be the other way around, do correct me if I'm wrong though" he said mischievously.

Her heart raced, and she leaned in to press her lips to his, feeling the warmth of his breath against her cheek. She had her eyes closed yet she could feel his grin," But then, just as their lips were about to meet, his phone rang, the obnoxious sound echoing through the quiet room.

Keefe groaned, his eyes snapping open. "It couldn't have waited a bit," he murmured, reaching for his phone on the nightstand. He squinted at the screen, and his face fell. "It's my dad," he said, his voice flat.

Sophie sat up, concern etched into her features. "What's wrong."

"I'm not sure." Keefe sighed, holding the phone to his ear. "What do you want, Dad?" he asked, his voice tight.

"You know exactly what I want," Lord Cassius's voice boomed through the speaker. "Your mother and I are expecting you for brunch today. Don't disappoint us again."

Keefe's grip on the phone tightened, his jaw clenching. "I can't," he said, his voice clipped. "I have a friend over."

There was a pause, and then a cold chuckle from the other end of the line. "Bring them," Cassius said, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "It's about time you started bringing your friends home. Maybe we can learn about the company you keep."

Keefe's eyes searched hers, and she saw the indecision flicker across his features. He didn't want to bring her into his mess of a family life, but he also didn't want to leave her side. "Sure, Dad," he said finally, his voice tight. "We'll be there."

He ended the call and tossed the phone onto the bed, his shoulders slumping. "I'm sorry, Foster," he said, running a hand through his hair. "I didn't mean to ruin the morning."

Sophie sat up, placing a hand on his chest. "It's okay," she said, her voice soothing. "We can go if you want to. I'm here for you, anyways it's about time I meet your parents."

Keefe's eyes searched hers, and she could see the conflict in his gaze. "You don't have to, get ready or anything though I already feel like I'm dragging you. Not like we have time to drop by your dorm thanks to my dad's impeccable timing."

Sophie pushed herself up, smoothing her hair back. "It's fine," she said, her voice firm. "I'll just grab something from your closet. Maybe I left something here that would be suitable."

Sophie went into his closet and found a pair of her jeans she must have left and a button up of Keefe's that could make a pretty cute outfit, Biana had trained her pretty well. She slid on the sambas she had came wearing and kept her watch on her wrist. The outfit was cute and much more socially acceptable than a sweat set, though she may get cold.

When she emerged from the bathroom, Keefe was already dressed in a put together outfit. A pair of light pants and a blue sweater.

He took one look at her and his eyes widened

He took one look at her and his eyes widened. "Wow, Foster," he said, his voice filled with admiration. "You look...wow. You just look especially awesome in my shirt, it must be the Keefe effect."

Sophie felt herself blush, looking down at the outfit she had hastily put together. "Thanks, but I think I'm the only reason this shirt looks so good." she said as she looked up at him and flicked his nose.

"Feisty Foster." Keefe said looking down at her as he leaned in for a kiss.

Sophie turned her head so his lips landed on her cheek. "Later, we need to get going if we don't want to keep your parents waiting."

"Alright fine, one kiss then I'll go gladly." He said with a slight smile.

"Fine." Sophie gave him a quick kiss before she took his hand and pulled him through the door.
