Riven had fallen asleep after a while. He had completely passed out once Negan was gone and possibly miles away from the cabin.

Reagan had draped a blanket over him after taking his brace off, knowing it was uncomfortable, sleeping with the brace on.

As Reagan sat in silence in Melanie's room in a chair next to the bed, Melanie was occupying. Riven was sleeping in the chair next to him, and Reagan occasionally had to make sure he was actually breathing since he was too quiet and still.

Reagan thought about Negan. He wouldn't miss him, and he honestly didn't really care where Negan went as long as he didn't come back.

He could die out there for all he cared. His dad died a long time ago, and the two most important people in his life were in the room with him, and he'll do everything in his power to protect them.

"..I don't remember you being this creepy just sitting like that." Reagan broke out of his thoughts as Melanie's voice quietly and hoarsely rang through the room.

Reagan shifted forward in his chair, reaching his hand out to grab Melanie's in his, "How are you feeling?"

Melanie smiled a little, "I'm fine," Melanie glanced towards Riven before looking at Reagan with a teasing smirk,

"You were never much of a gentleman before." Melanie said, and Reagan softly chuckled,

"He's different,"He let out a sighed, "Negan's gone."

Melanie frowned, "Maggie?"

"She didn't kill him. Riven didn't let her,"Reagan replied, "and we let him leave after Maggie and Riley were gone. He's probably long gone by now."

"I shouldn't have asked Riven to let him live. I still don't know why he actually did let him live," Melanie sighed, squeezing Reagan's hand,

"I'm sorry for all the shit it caused." Reagan shook his head,

"Nothing to be sorry for, Mel. Shit happens all the time. You just worry about getting better." Reagan replied, a small smile on his face.

Melanie nodded, and she suddenly smirked, "So... you two make a cute couple."

Reagan glanced at Riven, smiling a little, "Yeah."

"..I'm proud of him, you know, "Riley spoke, a small sigh escaping him, "I mean, he's still a reckless, impulsive, little shit but he's slowly maturing,"

"In his own way, of course." He quickly added with a small chuckle.

"You agree with Riven about keeping Negan locked up in a cell for the rest of his miserable life?" Michonne spoke, sparing a glance towards Riley.

They were back at the camp, and Riley was helping Enid at the infirmary since Riven wasn't there to help her, and Michonne was only passing by when Riley pulled her into the tent, and now she was helping him restock the supplies.

Riley sighed, "I don't really know, but Maggie, her mission for revenge gotta stop at some point, but I know my sister, and she ain't gonna be stopping until Negan is dead."

"So you want him dead then?" Michonne turned to face him with a raised eyebrow.

"Never said that, but I have a feeling that a lot of people might get hurt in the progress of Maggie's revenge," Riley told her, shaking his head as he dropped the bandages on one of the beds in the tent.

"I tried talking to her, but she... she just won't listen to me." Riley said, a frown on his face.

"I'll try talking to her once I see her again." Michonne said, and Riley sent her a grateful smile,

"Thanks, maybe you'll have better luck than I did."

Michonne chuckled, "Maybe."

A commotion outside caught their attention, making them share a look before rushing out of the medical tent.

"..hey! Half the saviors are planning on killing everyone here after learning that Negan's still alive." Dominic rushed over to them, slightly out of breath from running,

"And they're also planning on killing Riven and Melanie." He told them, his expression a bit panic, eyes glancing between the two of them.

"Where's Rick?" Michonne questioned, walking towards the Commotion with a determined look on her face.

Dominic quickly caught up with her, Riley, on the other side of Michonne.

"He left with Daryl a few minutes ago, going after Maggie, I think, and I think she'd going after Negan." Dominic explained,

"You're just telling us this now?" Riley asked, his tone harsh, and Dominic narrowed his eyes at him,

"Oh, I'm sorry, but I was a little occupied trying to convince the saviors not to kill everyone, and they wanted to start with you." Dominic sarcastically replied with an eye roll.

"Dominic and I will deal with the saviors. Riley, you go ahead and try to catch up with Rick and Daryl. See if you can stop Maggie before she does, she'll regert." Michonne demanded, and Riley nodded,

"Be careful, Michonne." Riley told her, and Michonne nodded,

"You too."

Riven was startled awake by a sudden banging noise coming from the front.

"Expecting any visitors?" Melanie questioned, and Reagan stood up,

"No. I'll check it out." Reagan replied, but Riven stopped him.

"No. I'll do it, you stay with Lanie." Riven put his brace back on, and he stood up, giving Reagan a pointed look before walking out of the room.

Reagan scoffed and looked down at Melanie, "Don't even try to stand up." With that, he walked out of the room.

Riven reached the front door and swung it open, flinching back as a fist almost smacked against his face,

Reagan came up behind Riven, slightly pushing Riven behind him as he pulled out his gun and lifted it up, taking the safety off.

"Five seconds to explain what the fuck you're doing here before I pull this trigger." He threatened, his eyes narrowing

"You know why I'm here." Maggie replied, her expression calm even though a gun was in her face.

Riven reached his hand out, lowering Reagan's arm, "Well, like I said before, Negan's rotting in a cell.."

"Cut the bullshit. He ain't in his cell, I checked, so he must be in here." Maggie pushed past them and into the cabin.

"He's not here." Reagan told her, causing Maggie to spun around to face him,

"What?"

Riven sighed, "He slipped out when we went to check on Melanie."

"Just slipped out?" Maggie ridiculously asked before she shook her head,

"You mean, you let him walk." She corrected, and Riven nodded.

"You know what. Yes, I did. I let Negan go, and I let him walk. He's long gone by now." Riven told her with a small shrug, and Maggie stared at him in disbelief.

"He killed Glenn.."

"And he killed Abraham, and a lot of others,I know," Riven interrupted her, "and I'm not forgiving or forgetting what Negan did,"

"And I'm not telling you to do that either, but this revenge thing you're doing is destroying you, trust me, I know," Riven took a step towards Maggie,

"Don't let it destroy Hershel, too." Maggie expression softened at the mention of her son, but only for a moment.

"What hershel needs is his father, but he ain't here because of Negan, " Maggie glared at Reagan, "and because of him."

Maggie pulled out her gun and aimed it, Reagan, who held up his own gun, ready to shoot Maggie if needed.

"How about we all just put our guns away?" Riven suggested, glancing between Maggie and Reagan.

Reagan glanced at Riven before sighing and lowering his gun.

"Maggie." Riven turned to face her, and she looked at him, slightly hesitating before a distant explosion startled her.

A gunshot rang out, followed by a curse,

"Riven!" Reagan rushed over to Riven, who brought a hand up the side of his head with a wince.

Reagan gently removed his hand, glaring at the injury as blood slid down Riven's head.

"I'm fine. Just a graze, but what the fuck was that? It sounded like an explosion." Riven moved away from Reagan and towards the front door.

"Reagan!? Riven! What's going on!?" Melanie's voice rang out, and Reagan cursed under his breath, throwing a glare towards Maggie, who rushed out of the cabin.

"Everything's fine! Don't get up!" Reagan replied, hurrying out of the cabin.

"That was the bridge." Riven said, sharing a look with Maggie and Reagan,

"We gotta check that out." Riven told them, and Maggie nodded, and Reagan shook his head.

"No way. I am not letting you leave with her." Reagan told him, and Riven sighed,

"It was accident, Rea, and people could be hurt, I need to go. I'll be fine." Riven replied, heading inside to grab his medical bag.

Reagan clenched his hands into fists and looked at Maggie, "I swear you hurt him again, and I will not hesitate to pull the trigger."

Maggie looked guilty, "I didn't mean to shoot, but I will never intentionally hurt Riven."

Reagan scoffed, "No, just emotionally, right?"

Riven walked back out before Maggie could reply, "I'll be back soon." He promised,

Reagan nodded, "You better."

Rick was dead, or at least that's what everyone thought. There was a herd heading towards Alexandria, and Rick blew up the brigde, and he was close to the brigde.

His body hasn't been found.

Michonne was devastated, and so was everyone else. Rick was the only causality, and from the moment Riven arrived at the brigde with Maggie, he's been with Michonne.

She just lost the man she loved, and she all but collapsed into Riven's arms, sobbing, and all Riven could do was his best in comforting in her.

Riven couldn't believe Rick was actually gone. He barely even remembers what the last thing he said to him was.

"..Ri.." Riven lifted his head and saw Carl crying, and Riven removed one of his arms from around Michonne and stretched it out towards Carl,

Carl let out a sob, practically collapsed as he threw his arms around Riven and Michonne, sobbing into Riven's shoulder.

Tears slid down Riven's face as he just held Carl and Michonne.

Rick was dead.
