The sun was setting over Huntington, by which time Lexi was out with her friends. They gathered on the beach, lit a fire, and spent the summer days together. That's how it happened today. The group gathered again on the beach, they found the place where they always sit and where a fire had already been made, they lit the fire and everyone sat around it.
Their laughter and the waves crashing on the shore were the only thing that could be heard. In this small group, everyone was close, except for Lexi and Andrew. The two of them, for some reason, never got along and were always fighting. No one knew why they didn't like each other.
They didn't like each other because even when they were in high school they acted like they were popular there because Lexi was the cheerleading captain and Andrew was the football team captain and all the attention was on them all the time. And of course, because they were popular, people allowed themselves to spread things about them that were not true.
But Lexi and Andrew, they had never spoken to each other and of course they would believe the rumours. After a while, they ended up in the same friend group and since then they have not stopped fighting with each other. But behind all this hatred there were secret looks and thoughts. As much as they didn't like each other, there were times when they would look at each other and say "Oh he/she looks really hot today."And they couldn't control it, as much as they didn't want to have those thoughts about each other.
Andrew and Lexi were sitting next to each other today.Pierson was sitting next to Lexi and, in order not to think about Andrew's presence around her, she was talking to Pierson.Lexi was laughing so hard she accidentally bumped into Andrew. "Be careful, Rivera." he said, looking at her with a slight fury in his eyes. But at the same time, his look was mischievous and incomprehensible.Lexi rolled her eyes and continued talking to Pierson.
As the night wrapped up, the group decided to play truth and dare.
Almost everyone had passed, and now only Lexi was left."Okay, Lexi, truth or dare?" Liv asked Lexi. She wondered for a moment and then answered."Dare." Lexi answered, worried about what Liv might tell her to do. "I challenge you to impersonate someone who annoys you." Liv said.Lexi calmed down and immediately started imitating the person who annoyed her the most and made her just punch him in the face."Yo guys, look at me, i film the girls i sleep with, and then i upload them to the internet to expose them." Lexi, of course, started imitating Andrew. She changed her voice to his and tried to act just like him. While everyone else was laughing, Andrew sat and glared at Lexi. What Lexi said was one of the rumors she had heard about Andrew, which, of course, was not true. "You're so funny, Rivera." Andrew said, and everyone fell silent. The malice towards each other that they had was read in their eyes. "You know what?" Andrew got up from the sand and started imitating Lexi, wanting to stomp it back to her. at me, my body count is over 100, and every day, it's increasing!"
While everyone watched with interest the heated fight between Lexi and Andrew, they had turned to each other, their arms crossed and rage burning in their eyes.As much as the others wanted to watch some drama, they knew they had to stop this before it started.
"Okay guys let's do something else!" Pierson pulled Lexi into a sitting position and Dom pulled Andrew to sit. The group decided to do something else. For the rest of the evening, Andrew and Lexi exchanged evil glances, each time they looked at each other one of them rolled their eyes. But behind those evil looks was something new that was growing and growing stronger with each passing moment and they couldn't control it...
