Meant to be??(Jai Brooks Fanfic)

Finally!!!

                                                                                  -Zoey's POV 

         Watching a movie on the couch, while my grandma was at the store. My phone went off indicating I had a message. I picked it up, unlocked it, and read the message. 

        From Jaibear: (yes, that's his nickname)

        Hey : )

        From me:

        Hey. What's up?

        From Jaibear:

        Will you go to the park with me?

        From me:

        Sure. Meet you there in five.

        From Jaibear:

       Okay : )

      I got up and walked over to my wardrobe. After deciding to wear a purple singlet, a pair of light grey skinny jeans, the panda beanie that Jai gave me, and my black converse, I grabbed my phone off my bed and slipped it into my back pocket.

      I ran down the stairs, and out the door. About half way there, my phone rings. I take it out of my back pocket and unlocked it.

        From Jaibear:

       Meet me at the pier. : )

       From me:

       Okay.

       I found him, standing there looking out at the water. Walking over to him, I called out his name, and he turned and his eyes found mine. Our gazes locked, me looking into his deep brown eyes, and him into my blue ones.

    I started walking toward him, but he met me halfway with a big hug. Then he starts singing.

   "When your legs don't work like they used to before, and I can't sweep you off of your feet. Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love? Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks? And darling I will be loving you 'till we're seventy. And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at twenty-three. And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways. Maybe just the touch a hand."

    He grabbed my hand and we started dancing.

   "Well, me - I fall in love with you every single day. And I wanna tell you I am. So honey take me into your loving arms. Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars. Place your head on my beating heart. I'm thinking out loud. Maybe we found love right where we are. When my hairs all but gone and my memory fades. And the crowds don't remember my name. When my hands don't play the strings the same way. (mmm....) I know you will still love me love the same. Cause honey your soul could never grow old, it's evergreen. And, baby, your smile's forever in my mind and my memory. I'm thinking bout how fall in love in mysterious ways. Well, I'll just keep making the same mistakes, hoping that you'll understand. That, baby, now take me into your loving arms. Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars. Place your head on my beating heart.      After he finished, might I add beautifully, he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring pop.

    "Zoey Taylor Woods," he started,"I know, we've only known each other for about two weeks. That's not very long. But from, when you ran into me with your skateboard, I was drawn to you like a magnet to metal. And those eyes of yours don't make it any easier. But what I'm trying to say, is I really like you. Zoey, will you be my girlfriend?"

      "Yes, Jai, I will be your girlfriend." I said as he slipped the ring pop on my finger. He stood up and our lips crashed together. Our lips moved in sync, until we had to breathe. We pulled away and stood there in a hug until we heard loud clapping. Apparently, everyone on the pier had just heard all that.

       We took a bow, and walked home.  We shared the ring pop, which just made it more romantic.
