Argent's POV:
Millions of years have gone by since I entered this forsaken dimension.
I've done nothing but fighting, warding off mindless cryptids that attack me while I do the duty I was assigned to by Veldanava. The deeper I go into this dimension, the stronger the cryptids get. I have concluded that Ivarage lays at the centre of this dimension. So the magicule concentration is higher at the centre which is why the cryptids get stronger as I progress.
The strength the cryptids possess, is considerable but their number is what is the problem. Because of this, humanity wouldn't be able to fend them off. They are just too much. Their numbers are in millions and there are some cryptids with strength that humanity wouldn't be able to overcome.
The dimensional wall that separates this chaos dimension from the cardinal world is on its last leg. It is
only a matter of time before it collapses.I have done thorough analysis on the dimension and it's inhabitants, all that's left is to have a glimpse of the beast that's the cause of all this mayhem.
As I made my way to the strongest presence in this dimension, I sensed powerful presences heading my way very fast.
I summon my sword, the one crafted personally by Veldanava. This sword has been my companion ever since I started exploring this realm. We've slain millions if not billions of cryptids while here. I have come to love and trust it as I have with [Wisdom] who is also a great help. I have decided to give the sword a name, but don't know what name to give. I was thinking either Elicid, Elysium or Exodus. Those were the only names I could think of.
That's beside the point, I readied myself for the upcoming battle.
The cryptids this time are exceptionally strong. Don't get me wrong I've dealt with many cryptids that are many times stronger than I am but these guys are in another league of their own. But one presence stood out the most.<<Notice. The cryptid detected has more than ten times the amount of magicules you possess.>>
'Woah! That's scary, Is it possible to even win this fight?' I thought.
I could always leave now using [Traveler], but decided to face them.
I may just enjoy myself and who knows, something spectacular may happenCoating my sword in a dense aura, I swung at the incoming horde of monsters heading my way. An energy slash traveled from my sword cleaving the monsters in half without much trouble.
The horde surrounded me and attacked all at once. 'Cunning bastards, they are trying to overwhelm me with number.' I didn't relent either way. With practised movements, I dodged attacks that I could and cut down any cryptid within my range.
What makes these guys troublesome is their regenerative ability. So I coat my sword in eternal flame. Now my sword would not only hinder regeneration but also attack their souls directly. I move seamlessly through the horde, throwing wide range destruction magic to thin down their numbers.
However, it seems to me as if they are never ending and the strongest presence hasn't even moved yet. I was brought back to reality by a pain that assaulted my arm. Looking down at it, a bear type cryptid had its teeth in me. I stabbed its head before severing it clean with my sword.
I tried to heal the would but it wouldn't.
<<Notice. Corrosion attack has been detected.>>
'Shit! These guys are more trouble than I thought. How did it even evade my perception?'
I kept the fight going. In order to gain myself time to attack these guys, I unleash a powerful spell, Cocytos. It froze the entire battlefield and the cryptids. Using that time gap, with enhancement magic on full throttle, I cut down every cryptid, aiming at it's vital parts.
