As the blue Camaro screeched to a halt in front of the Byers' house, Steve and Daphne braced themselves. Billy emerged from the car, his expression dark and volatile.

Billy smirked as he saw them. "Am I dreaming, or is that you, Harrington? Hi, Byers."

Steve rolled his eyes. "Yeah, it's me. Don't cream your pants."

Daphne quickly interjected, trying to defuse the situation. "Is this for our date? I'm sorry I couldn't call you—the phone's broken—but we have to reschedule."

Billy waved off her apology dismissively. "No, not at all. We'll talk about that later."

With that, Billy shrugged off his leather jacket, his movements slow and deliberate, a clear sign that he was here for more than just a friendly visit.

Steve kept his tone casual. "What are you doing here, amigo?"

Billy's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint in them. "I could ask you the same thing. Amigo."

Daphne's concern deepened. "What's wrong, Billy?"

Billy lit a cigarette, taking a long drag before responding. "I'm looking for my stepsister. A little birdie told me she was here."

Steve feigned ignorance. "Huh, that's weird. I don't know her."

Billy's tone grew colder. "Small, redhead? Bit of a bitch."

Steve shook his head, playing along. "Doesn't ring a bell, sorry, buddy."

Daphne stepped in again, trying to keep things calm. "Max isn't here. She's probably at the arcade or something."

Billy sighed, the tension in his posture obvious as he clicked his tongue. "You know, I don't know, this whole situation, guys... It's giving me the heebie-jeebies."

Steve, still trying to keep the situation light, chuckled. "Oh yeah? Why's that?"

Billy took another drag from his cigarette, then pointed it at the house. "My 13-year-old sister goes missing all day. Then I find her with you, at the Byers' place–a house she doesn't even know. And you lie to me about it."

Steve's humor faded, his tone sharpening.
"Man, were you dropped too much as a child, or what?"

Daphne's voice was calm but firm. "Billy, we already told you, she's not here."

Billy stared at them for a moment, then exhaled slowly. "Then who is that?" He pointed the cigarette towards the window.

Steve and Daphne turned to see the kids peeking out through the curtains. Daphne muttered under her breath, "Oh shit."

Before Steve could speak, Billy had already decided to take action. With a sneer, he shoved Steve hard, sending him sprawling onto the ground. Daphne gasped, instinctively stepping back, her heart racing.
