Hey guys, i just wrote a prologue to better explain the relationships between the characters, please go and read it :)
Hey guy! sorry i haven't updated properly in a while, school is killing me atm
Mia woke up the next morning, the light too bright and a pounding headache. She thought that she hadn't drunk that much, but she obviously had. She tried to somehow find the power to get up out of her bed, but then realised shortly after that everything hurt. She got out her phone and turned on the camera to look at herself. There was a big purple bruise right in the middle of her forehead, she groaned at the sight of it, at least there was makeup. She also had a bruise on the palm of her hands as well. Mia re-played the last nights events in her head. She remembered being upset, drinking with Luke, falling down and then- oh my god, I kissed Luke. How could she have done something so stupid? Of course she had wanted to kiss Luke, but if anyone had found out... Ashton. There was a small bit of guilt in the back of her mind, but the rest of her mind could't stop thinking about how good Luke's mouth felt against hers and how much she wanted to do it again. The smell of bacon was wafting through the air and me was more tempted to eat than stay in bed. She pulled on the closest jumper she could find, slipped on her uggs and proceeded walking to the kitchen.
"Finally awake are we?" Ashton asked as Mia walked through the kitchen to the table. He was standing at the stove, cooking, which surprised Mia because usually she was the one cooking him the 'hangover breakfast'.
Mia looked at Ashton confused. "What's the time?" Ashton pointed to the clock above their fridge. It was 1:03pm. "Holy crap. Why didn't you wake me up?"
"You looked so peaceful." Ashton shrugged. "Oh, and Calum's here by the way."
She glared at him. "You know, you could give me a little bit more notice when there are people over."
Ashton shrugged and set the plate of food in front of her. Calum then walked into the area, he smiled and walked over to Mia and squeezed her with one arm whilst she was sitting.
She looked up at him and smiled. "Hey Cal!"
He yawned sleepily. "Hi," He sat down next to her at the table. "Ashton, where is my breakfast?"
Ashton looked at him annoyed. "Calum, you're here because we were supposed to be writing a song but you fell asleep in the . You don't get any breakfast." Calum sighed.
"Here have some bacon." Mia forked the bacon and tried fed it to Calum, missing his mouth and it went on his nose. They laughed. "Stop moving, you're getting oil all over your face!"
"You stop moving your hand!" Calum grabbed the fork out of Mia's hand and put the food in his mouth. "Thanks." He said with his mouth full.
"I can't believe you guys are bonding over bacon..." Ashton said shaking his head. "Well, i'm actually going to do some work now, Cal, join me when you're ready." He walked off into his room.
"'Bonding over bacon', I like it." Calum said. "Maybe bacon can be our always."
Mia laughed loudly. "Bacon?"
"Bacon." They laughed together. "How was last night by the way? Kiss any boys?" He winked.
"Uh, no." God i hope he doesn't know.
"Was no one up to your standard?" Mia breathed a sigh of relief. No one knew about her and Luke, and that's the way she had to keep it so Ashton wouldn't find out.
"I wasn't really in the mood after i saw Tyler kiss Emma." Which wasn't entirely a lie, she went to the party having the impression that she wasn't going to kiss anyone, and she just so happened to kiss Luke. She purposely didn't mention Luke punching Tyler, she wasn't sure if Luke wanted anyone to know about that.
Calum gave an apologetic look. "Ah, that's so shit. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, i mean, i'm upset but i'll live." She could start to feel the tears Oh no. "I just don't know what to do at school, you know? I've always had Emma and now, I have no one. " Her voice was starting to get shaky
"Aw, Mia! Please don't be upset." Calum thought for a moment. "What if i pretend i'm an exchange student, and i come to school with you?"
Mia was going to laugh but then she saw the seriousness on his face. "Cal, everyone knows who you are. They actually talk about the band a lot at school." Calum looked slightly disappointed. "I'm sure i'll be fine. Don't worry about me." She put on a brave face and smiled at him.
"CALUM!" Ashton called from his room.
"I better go before Ash kicks me out of the band."
Mia pouted. "Fine, i'll just eat this bacon all by myself!"
Calum chuckled and walked off into Ashton's room. "Stop tempting me!" He called.
Mia continued eating food when she got a call from an unknown number.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Uh, hey, it's Luke."
He's called to tell me that last night was a mistake, great. Mia thought. "Oh, hey..." She tried to sound like she wasn't freaking out.
"Well, you know how last night i punched Tyler, well he went to hospital, and , uh, well, I'm in jail."
"WHAT?!" She said loudly and realised that Ashton and Calum were in the other room. "Why?" She asked quieter.
"Well, he's in hospital, and well his parents are pissed so they pressed charges and yeah. I'm sorry i called you, I didn't mean for you to get stressed or anything, you're just the only person i could think of that would understand."
"Luke, i don't have a car, i can't come and get you."
"Yeah, i figured. Just let Ash know, and try make me sound like a hero, i don't want the boys to be mad with me because i get arrested." He laughed softly.
"Luke, you were my hero..." She realised how ridiculously corny that sounded. "I let Ash know now, be there soon." She hung up quickly. "Ash! I need to tell you something!" she called.
