Chapter 13

~~PENNYS POV~~

I just got off the phone with Ocean still struggling to keep my tears in.

"Do you think she will be okay Ricky?" I asked

"I sure do hope so or the whole choir will be devastated including me she is so important to all of us." Ricky signed back

A doctor came up to us and started explaining "She is going to be okay she is currently going into the operating room to get sewn up. The good thing is that she will be okay but she will be concussed so she might not remember everything."

"Well t-that's great I'm very glad she's okay." I literally jumped for joy knowing that my best friend is going to be okay

"You should be able to see her in a little over an hour." the doctor announced 

"Thank you for telling us sir!" I shook his hand and he walked away

~~OCEANS POV~~

"Connie's in the hospital.." I sobbed 

""W-what happened..." Noel asked

"Penny, Ricky and her were all hanging out at the skating rink together and- " I trailed off

"It's okay honey just breathe." Mischa rubbed my back in an attempt to calm me down

I sighed then continued "Some basic football jock came and started beating her up for being gay and she fell back and busted her head open. Then while Penny was beating the kid up as payback Ricky called an ambulance somehow."

"That's terrible." Noel also started to cry but didn't want to show it

"I can drive us to the hospital to go see her if you want." Mischa offered

"Yea I would like that" I sniffled

"Okay then I'm going to grab some snacks before we go.." Misch explained "You guys go get in the car I'll be there in just a minute."

~~FLASHFORWARD~~

"Okay were here, did Penny say where she is?" Misch asked

"Uhm, yea she said to go in through the main entrance shes in the waiting room." I responded

We walked to the front desk to get visitor passes then found Penny to stay with her. Ricky was passed out next to her holding on to her arm. She waved to us with the hand that was free. A doctor came out about twenty minutes later to talk to us.

"You guys are here for Constance Blackwood right?" the doctor asked

"Y-yes" I pipped up

"You guys may do see her but only three at a time please. She is in room 167." He continued 

"Thank you" Ricky signed 

"You're welcome" The doctor signed back at him 

That made Ricky smile not many people know sign language so he appreciates it when they do.

"Penny, Ricky, Ocean, you guys can go first me and Misch will stay behind." Noel offered

"Thank you" I smiled walking away with the others

I do love Constance, all of us do the choir to us is like our chosen family...
