Chapter Seven-
Giovanni puts me in the room on the left, and Asa on the right. The room is velvet, and really cozy. I sit myself on the velvet lounger and run my hand through the fabric. Soft.
The door opens and I am greeted by Tiki, who's eyes are red and puffy. "You have three minutes." The woman says.
I hold Tiki close to my heart as she sobs. "Don't cry." I tell her. "I am going to win."
"How do you know that?" She cries.
"Because. I'm the strongest girl you know, right?" I reply.
"Yeah." She cries. I hold her close, and let her cry.
"Win." She whispers. The peacekeeper comes in and takes her out, kicking and screaming.
Then I recognize the peacekeeper. Behind her white helmet, I see her blue-green eyes. Her solid posture, very strong and tall. Her hair in a black ponytail. "Kylee." I whisper.
"Congrats, Morgana." She smiles, fighting back tears. "I don't care what my boss says, I'm giving you a quick talk. Asa cares about you. Whether he shows it or not, he does. Now, please, PLEASE, leave it to someone else to kill my brother."
"I'll do everything in my power." I promise her.
"If he doesn't come home, I know you will." She smiles at me.
Next person in is Connor. I leap to give him a hug, he holds me tight and doesn't let me go. "I love you." I whisper to him.
"I love you too, Mo." He whispers in response. "I've loved you since I first spoke to you."
"Don't make this a Nicholas Sparks book, ok?" I whisper I'm response. He smiles.
"Did Tiki give you a token yet?" He asks. I nod no. "May I have the honors?"
Thank God, he didn't pull out some fancy shmancy wedding ring. He pulls out a golden wrist sized band. Diamonds stud the perimeter. The bracelet. The one that caused us to meet. His grandmother's. "Why am I crying?" I whisper.
He gets down on one knee. "Morgana, I love you. I love you with my heart fully. Never would I let go of your hand. When you come home, may I take your hand in marriage? I apologize for lack of ring, I was hoping the bracelet would make up for it." I nod yes, all teary-eyed. Connor hugs me. He puts it on my wrist. It fits perfectly. He kisses my head. "Mo, when you come home, I swear to God, I will marry you." He whispers, holding my hands tightly.
"Times up." Kylee soberly says. I see pain in her eyes. She knows her little brother isn't coming home.
Next in is Samson. I hug him tightly. "How much do you care about my sister?" I ask.
"I-I care." He stutters awkwardly.
"I know you care, even a blind man could see that." I retort. "How much do you care about my little sister?"
"A lot." He sighs, sitting next to me, putting his chin in his hands.
"Why did you ignore her then?" I snap. If I die, I want closure.
"We got in a fight. Someone said we were a couple, and Tiki thinks I started it and people think we went to first base with her-" he stutters.
"Did you?" My eyes peal open with pure terror. I try to picture Samson, leaning Tiki against the brick wall of the school, sticking his tongue down her throat. I have never been more disturbed in my life.
"No!" He cries. A blush peeks through. "I didn't start the rumor either. Now she won't talk to me."
"Do you want her to?" I ask slyly. It's obvious he likes her in an unsisterly manner if you know what I mean.
"Of course!" He cries desperately.
"Here. I know that every guy your age in district one has had a fantasy about her. Don't even try to deny it. Guys hit on her left and right, but do you know who she uses as an excuse?" I poke his stomach. "You."
"M-m-me?" He stutters with a blush.
"Yes. You almost have her. Reel her in. Make sure she is staying strong throughout the entire games as she watches me. Don't falter. Don't give in. Be strong. Please. You are all she will have, if I die." I beg.
"I promise, Morgana." He smiles.
"One last thing." I say before he leaves. "If I don't make it home, you have my 100% blessing to be her boyfriend."
He grins and walks out. I am not sure who else will show up. My three people showed up, I'm not sure who else. To my shock Edward-I mean 'dad'-shows up.
"Morgana, I'm sorry." He whispers. He tries to go in for a hug, but I slap him.
"Sorry is a bit late 'dad'." I air quote around dad. "You could have said sorry when you left me to fend for us. For beating up my boyfriend. For making me buy you crack. For making me be you."
"Morgana-" he begins.
"I hate you." I spit. "Stay away from Tiki if I don't return. Shit, stay away from her totally. Don't touch her. Get out of her life. She has the Crane family."
"This is no way to talk to your father!" He yells.
"You aren't my father." I hiss. He storms out of the room.
So before I leave, that's what I get. Two promises, a proposal, a blessing, and the truth. Sounds about good. Oh, and a bracelet.
Wait, if I come home, I'll get married. I won't be my father's property. I would be free. Connor would free me.
God, I love him.
I think back to each person as she takes us to go onto the train. Tiki, the little girl who wouldn't stop crying while saying goodbye. Kylee, the girl who I promised not to kill her brother. Connor, the boy who I will marry. Samson, the boy who is taking care of my baby girl while I am away. And Edward, the man who got a taste of his own medicine.
I feel complete.
Until I see Asa again. He looks so depressed. Like he wants a hug. Like a puppy. I want to hug him, and tell him it will all be alright.
But it won't.
I might have to kill him.
I might have to break Kylee's promise.
If I kill him and return home, Kylee would kill me.
Then make sure I resurrect.
Then kill me again.
