TW: Minor swearing
Cecilia's POV:
The two girls looked at me, shock was evident on both of their faces. I mean, what did they expect? I've been pretty nice to them for the past day...or at least, when I first met them yesterday. Maybe because I'm Angel's friend they had some sort of low expectations? That's a possibility.
"Really? You want to help? It won't be pretty or anything. I mean, look at this place," Vaggie gestures to the dusty and dirty room that we're in.
"Yeah...I know a thing or two about how to clean a room," I reassured them. To that, Angel raised an eyebrow.
"Really? Your old apartment looked like a bomb went off in there. You know something about 'cleanliness'?"
"Oh shut up," I hissed. "Of course I do. At least, when I try to clean. If I'm the only one in my apartment, why the hell would I clean it? For myself?"
"Maybe for your mental state?" Angel suggested. "Bein' in a dirty room feels like a cage sometimes, Ceci."
I rolled my eyes, but I knew my friend was right. "Yeah, yeah. I'm not in that dump anymore, anyway." I turned my attention back to the Princess and her girlfriend. "Well? Is there anything I can try helping with?"
Charlie thought for a moment before her facial expression brightened a bit. "Oh! I'm assuming you know the basics in cleaning, right? Like dusting, sweeping, etc?"
"Of course! Who doesn't?"
"Great! Maybe while Vaggie and I are out in the nearest store to get appliances, small furniture, etc...maybe you can tidy this place up a bit? I'm not asking for too much! Just making sure all of the cobwebs are gone, and that most of the surfaces lack dust."
"On it! Do we have any dusters here? Or anything to help with that?"
"They should be in the storage closet," Charlie mentioned while pointing to a built in closet behind the counter that looks like it could be a bar-looking counter. I went over behind that counter and opened the closet. Sure enough, there was a duster and sweeper.
"There they are," I muttered as I grabbed the two appliances. I nodded at confirmation to Charlie, who simply smiled.
"Great! Well, Vaggie and I will be off now. Have fun!" Charlie exclaimed as Vaggie and her, holding hands, left the hotel. Angel left the couch to approach me.
"What's changed, Ceci? Weren't ya laughing at this whole redemption thing yesterday afternoon?"
I sighed as I looked at Angel. "Yeah. I mean, I was kinda saving face in front of literal royalty. Besides, IF redemption is real...we could get away from Valentino! Think about it; Val can't bother us in Heaven and the contract is immediately broken. We would be free! Plus, I heard Heaven is full of purity...no fear of death in sight. We could finally relax. Don't you want that kind of life, if Charlie is being honest with the hope of being redeemed of our sins?"
Angel thought for a moment, looking like he was genuinely pondering over my question. "Yeah...maybe. But do you think a porn star like me can get up to the purity of heaven?"
I shrugged. "If you tried hard enough, probably. Charlie has her ways, so it's a possibility of both of us being redeemed in no time, away from that horny slut."
Angel chuckled before nodding his head with a slight smirk. "Yeah...I see your point now."
"Mhm! Now...let me clean this whole lobby before Charlie and Vaggie come back."
"Alright, alright," Angel sighed as he stepped back, letting me out from behind the counter as I started cleaning up the place to the best of my ability.
