Long, skinny fingers gently brush against the petals of a Blue Moon Rose that bloom within the Royal Gardens. They have blue-to-violet pigmentation instead of the more common red, white, or yellow. Rhaenyra smiles as she strolls past them, knowing that they are often used to symbolize mystery or the unattainable, and that is why her mother had them planted.

The garden was all that was left of the woman who was slowly starting to fade from her mind.

Rhaenyra bends at the waist, her hair falling over her shoulders as she smells the roses, her eyes closing at the sweet aroma. Her mind wondered to the times of cherished memories, not knowing that the Queen stood a row of flowers behind her, stylishly dressed, but seething. A low, sinister snarl in the back of her throat. Her eyes locked onto the Targaryen with hatred.

"Enjoying yourself" She calls out in a cloying voice.

Rhaenyra gasps, her eyes flying open as she whirls around. Her heart pounds at the sight of the Queen smiling at her.

"Of course, Your Grace" Rhaenyra pants out, still feeling startled.

The Queen continues to smile at her, her eyes never straying from Rhaenyra's face. The Targaryen bites her lower lip in nervousness. Rhaenyra glances at the slight bruise that blemishes the Queen's left cheekbone, a pale yellow to her soft skin.

"Has he done that before?" She breaks the silence.

The smile drops from Queen Cersei's lips. "Jamie would of killed him. My brother is worth a thousand of the King"

"Your brother or your lover?" The words fall freely before Rhaenyra could stop herself.

"The Targaryens, as you would know, wed brothers and sisters for 300 years to keep bloodlines pure" The Queen says, expressionlessly. "Jamie and I are more than brother and sister, we shared a womb. We came into this world together. We belong together"

Rhaenyra sucks in a breath of air as she finally hears the truth. Her brother never fall from the tower, he was pushed, and the Queen just handed her the answer on a silver plate.

"My brother saw you with him" She states

I swear to you. That those who would harm you will die screaming.

The Queen doesn't deny the statement, only picks up the ends of her dress and starts to make her way closer to Rhaenyra.

"Do you love your Stark family?" Queen Cersei questions.

"With all my heart" Rhaenyra answers quickly.

"No more than I love mine"

"And they're all Jamie's"

The Queen chuckles. "Thank the Gods. In the rare event that Robert leaves his whores for long enough to stumble drunk into my bed, I finish him off in other ways. In the morning, he doesn't remember"

Rhaenyra shifts her weight between her feet, her eyes following the Queen as she rounds a flowerbed of Evening Stars, approaching ever closer.

"When the King returns from his hunt, I am sure he will know the truth" Rhaenyra says. "You should take your children and leave. Go as far away as you can, with as many men as you can. Because wherever you go, Robert's wrath will follow you"

The Queen smirks as she stands before Rhaenyra. Lilac against brown.

"And what of my wrath, Lady Rhaenyra? Your Stark father should of taken the Realm for himself. Jamie told me about the day King's Landing fell"

Rhaenyra gulps at the mention of the night she lost everything.

"He was sitting in the Iron Throne and Lord Stark made him give it up. All he needed to do was climb the steps himself, such a sad mistake" She tsks.
